Yes Paul Russell doesn't make many mistakes. It's an oddity, but a correct one. Like I said, a minor detail in the grand scheme of owning and enjoying a Lusso.
Ed, I have an old picture of 5099 still with its originally green leather interior and it has this wheel. It's not mine; sorry I cannot post it. No one would keep this wheel within the framework of a high-level restoration unless they were sure that it was with the car from the beginning, simply because it is just not as attractive as the original wheel. Flat, four-spoke wheels are a thing of the 40's. john

I have never seen a Lusso luggage set. Do they really exist? When did Ferrari begin partnering with the Atelier for luggage sets? I'm sure there were always bespoke options early on but when did they start offering custom fit luggage for the more "serial" models?

well most of cars done by them doesn’t have the best history (including 250 California replicas) but at least it’s good to see what the prototype looks like 60 years later !

Not sure the chassis number or if it ever lived around WNY or what, but here’s a neat photo of a 250 GT/L with black wire wheels, which is something I haven’t seen often on a GT/L Image Unavailable, Please Login
