Here is how Ferrari describes these wheels in their marketing info: "This specific Ferrari Genuine wheel is an extremely lightweight multi-spoke wheel which may only be specified in conjunction with titanium studs with captive conical washers. This reduces rotating masses by approximately 1 Kg per wheel compared with even the most extreme optional wheel available - a 5 spoke forged component used in conjunction with steel studs. The design of the wheel is a technological and styling evolution: the forms are tauter and the spokes are narrower, creating an impression of lightness, speed and ultimate drivability."
After a quick search here on the forums I have discovered post #5 on this thread - http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/458-italia-488/525346-ferrari-458-factory-wheel-weight-comparison.html Weights are 24 lbs each up front and 27 lbs in the rear respectively.
The 458 Italia is the best looking of all the modern V 8s I would say it beats all the modern Ferraris with the exception of LaFerrari
Rosso Fiorano and Cuoio/Black. I haven't seen another Rosso Fiorano 458 Italia, does anyone have one? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
As much as I agree that the Italia is a truly lovely CAR (and I DO feel quite strongly about it), there has never been, nor will there ever be, any HUMAN lovelier than this woman... She's a Goddess in every way.... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Ha ha, that is true, Eilig. The Italia has her eyes, or at least the tips, lost in the Speciale and the 488.
Had the ''12 458 since May and enjoying it a lot. I wish I could drive it more but Gotta watch the miles!!!!! Image Unavailable, Please Login
