FWIW I never ever liked black wheels and never ever liked yellow nor red calipers. I don't remember when I first said so but my taste has been like this for a while. Anyway, not that it matters much as I don't have any F-cars to apply these likes. Equally, I don't need to be credited or awarded membership or anything for the anti-black holes league or whatever, I'd just like to be remembered around here as the guy that liked Blu Ahrabian as a perfect colour for a tdf :D

What, did I say grigio alloy was the perfect color for a tdf? I don't remember :) But sure I said so at some point! Nothing wrong with that, grigio alloy is still one of my favorites, and another perfect color for a tdf or nearly any Ferrari.

I have soo many favorites... Grigio Alloy, Grigio Ingrid, Grigio Titanio, Grigio Ferro, Grigio Medio, Grigio Abu Dhabi, Celeste, Avio, Avorio, Blu Abu Dhabi, Azzurro California... I'll stop before I start reciting the reds and greens.

I typically love light, very metallic blues, medium to light greys, darker, metallic reds and any green :D

I typically don't like black or dark blue, yellow, solid white, dark greys, and classic rosso corsa except for maybe an F40.

Blu Ahrabian is just a new favorite :)

Many great colors mentioned in your list there and Fchat is the place to see them!

Any guess as to which blue Traveller has committed to getting for his tdF model?

I cannot tell you as it doesn't really have a name, hence the difficulty even they had in replicating it. It's similar to a blue that does have a name, which is the sample they mistakenly initially sent, but different, so no point trying to explain.

To an extent. In this case the yellow calipers give it a sportier contrast to a "classy gt" paint colour. Silver, black, grey calipers would give it a very gt spec and kind of loose the sportiness of the tdf. It's a fine line to tread. I think yellow and red calipers can work on colours depending on the intent behind the design of the spec. Would I spec them? Probably not.

I've probably forefeited my membership to the fchat black hole/caliper league but I'm fine with that:). There are many instances where black wheels can look good as well. Once again I wouldn't spec them but I respect other people that love their specs with whatever they choose.

It all sounds like more fine adventures in 'Ferrari Land'. We await the release of the 'build pictures' from there, perhaps...

WOW! Congratulations to Treynor. I do love the Blue CF- its the one color I think really works well with CF. But this is not a spec I would have expected to like- but I do! Well done!

If I'm not mistakin' you own ferraris since the year I'm born (1981). Therefore I will sit and learn to appreciate the build even if I don't like it at first sight (Wich is not sure at all) ;)

I'm really curious to see all the details, beyond the unique blue paint, concerning the wheels, the interior, etc...

Regretfully before you were born as I was an early addict, but that just brings baggage as opposed to being a first purchase when you are probably open to more extreme designs. I have always tended to the more understated schemes on the basis the overall design of the car should do most of the talking and not be overtaken by the scheme. A bit like the mother not outdoing her daughter on her wedding day.

Expect nothing extraordinary, it will just hopefully fulfill my self imposed brief at TM of Stylish, Classic, Sporty but Individual.

If his F12TDF looks THIS GOOD imagine what his LaFerrari Aperta is going to look like!

Don't need to use much of your imagination, just check his LaFerrari.

Also, Ferrari want those LaF Aperta out asap, restricting colors and such. If Ferrari sticks to what it said, Ben might not be able to go crazy on the specs.

I think that's Girgio Scuro. But those two are vicious to recognize sometimes. This one seems to have that little hint of green From Scuro.

    Anyway, it looks fabulous
