    Hi Guys,

Seems the PO must've hit a rock or bottomed out on something, causing one stud holding the oil pan to be slightly bent. There are no cracks or leaks around it, but new shifter seals are in my fututre and I'll need to replace the stud when the pan goes back on. Did the factory use loctite or something? Or will the double nut trick allow me to back it out?

BTW I know it's the PO's doing because a closer look at the PPI pics shows it's been there. ;).

The double nut trick will work. I bottomed out going over a bridge and did the same thing to mine. Worked for me.

A spot weld on a nut works too if you are not reusing a stud. Roller stud remover and collet stud removers are available too at any tool store or snap on or online. No locktite on those from factory.

Thanks guys. Anyone know the spec on the stud? Ricambi says 13541121 / 4 is unavailable and I suspect it's a pretty standard thing I can get at belmetric or mcmaster, right?

M6 x 1mm. measure the total length once you have it out. Lazy people put a short M6 bolt back, and that would work too.
