He favored the flat brimmed hat, still made as a commerative model in Austin Texas. As well as the fancy coats, but really he was more channelling Jimi Hendrix.

He also used a full Indian feathered headdress at times, when performing...

When you saw him around town, it was more low key.
Man, I miss that guy...to win over your personal demons only to go down that way....
