Looks like a great turnout today. We are still waiting for this baby. We thought for sure she would have been born by now. I spent the morning fighting with the fill plug on the transaxle, but she won't budge. I had to order new parts today and the gear cover has to come off and hopefully I can break the bolt loose once it is off the car. Changing the gear oil should be a 1hr job, but at least it is nice and toasty in the garage now with the new heating system (now all I need is the flatscreen to watch the Giants). If I get this thing back together, the baby is born, and weather stays nice, hopefully I can sneak out for a few hours in the next couple of weeks.

As always, another great day of exotic cars at Starbucks. I always love seeing Patrick drive up in the Countach...and glad you and Pat brought cameras, I pulled a Lane and forgot mine today ;) Thanks Pat, I'm cruising Ebay for a good lens now :D Hopefully next week the weather holds and Joe can make it with his 355, and Joe M. has his bundle of joy. And yeah, that transaxle plug is a bear. Soak it good with PB Blaster overnight, and if it's anything like a 355 just be real careful no sand gets in there (all collects around the fill plug on top - blow off with compressed air first).

OK 360 owners you're all set up for next post.

However, I got a bad feeling that a freeze is coming at post 374 unless there's a 375 America, Plus or MM owner on this thread

I know that it is extremely hazardous to prognosticate this early, but I'll go out on a limb and call AVFPolo as in for Sunday November 9th Starbucks meet.

The weather man says high of 53 degrees, mostly sunny, wind at 9mph out of the west. Predicting a UV Index of only 2 - I may just slap on some of my official Ferrari sun screen that came with the car and come top down.

Remember this is an early prediction and the weatherman had better be accurate.

Let's aim for a HUGE end of season gathering Sunday! Based on AVF's early projections weather is looking good...

ok we may have some good momentum for this Sunday...by my tally potentially 5 355's! Me, AVF, maybe Frank, Joe has Hyperflows on, and Joe's buddy. Weather is looking good, sunny but cool. Fire up your Ferrari's and exercise those cam belts! Of course Patrick's Lambo is always welcome, just set your alarm a bit earlier this week :D 9:am!

Masslaw, bring that 360 down. And Craig the Noble needs to get some miles on her. Who else...Frank get your bro down here with the 360 CS, and Pete can round up an Enzo or 430 Scud :D And Pat must bring the Canon EOS 1D with an extra lens ;)

Might as well go for the gold too, who's going to ask Napolis to drive up with the P4/5?? :))

Perhaps we should make this into "bring a buddy" Sunday. Joe may be bringing his buddy. I'm (hopefully) bringing my buddy John in tow with his 928 from north o' the border. I know it's not an Fcar but we have a better chance of converting him over the more he's around the Italian marque.

Appears that a special parking area for the 355 examples may need to be established.

    - Ed -

PS Congrats to UConn for clearing the 2000 post hurdle. You get a free cup of Starbuck's best my treat.

Its Friday and the work week is drawing to a close (Yippeee). Its also November 7th and the driving season is also just about done (Dammit). This Sunday November 9th will see a large push to get ALL of our compatriots to gather in a final send off to this truely remarkable 2008 season. We have been blessed with mostly fine weather and fanastic conversations with a multitide of awesome people and I shall not go quietly into the long winters night without an appropriate fairwell to each of you. The attendance list is growing quite nicely and the turnout should be nothing short of impressive for our little F-troop. Drag your friends from there beds and stop in.

Bikers - Yes we know its cold....bring your cars. You are as much a part of this as anyone.

All are welcome. Joe M is the only one with a valid excuse, but we'd still love to see him if only for a moment.

I am strongly considering coming down!
This week has been a really tough one. My grandmother had some very severe health problems (she's doing quite a bit better now!) so I have spent a lot of time in the hospital the past few days. It was a stressful week and I could use some time to unwind. A few hours of driving would be great for me but I also want to be here for my grandmother and the rest of the family.
I will see what the next few days bring and try to round up a few friends to drive with. If I can't make it, I hope you all have a blast!!!

Well the newest member of the Ferrari family finally arrived... Baby Heather was born Wednesday night (11/5/08) at 6PM. She was 7 pounds 3 ounces. Mom and baby are both doing great. If I can sneak out for a few minutes on Sunday, I might swing by briefly in the Audi (the 308 is still in pieces... Baby Heather decided to come mid project). I dare say, I think the 308 has seen the last of the New England roads for 2008. But we'll be back in '09 stonger than ever. I'm looking to some of our off season events such as carting.

Great thread! I've been meaning to make it to one of these all summer, and I'd love to see all of that beautiful machinery before it all goes away for the winter. My Elise is on track tires now (dot-r), so I don't really want to risk a highway ride if it's wet out, but I will do my best!

Excellent, c'mon down guys! Gas is cheap now, no better time to go for a drive! Forecast is partly sunny and a little cool...

We meet at Starbucks in Rocky Hill on rte. 3, exit 23 off rte 91. Easy to get to and nice parking lot...we're normally there from 8:30-ish to 11 or 12-ish.
