I'll check tonight. I brought out the stinkin book for you and neglected to check the code. 99% sure it's 302C but I will post again to confirm. I'll post the back tag of the chip.
LOL, so that's the same as the two previously posted. Never thought of the 302/C being such an elusive thing to chase down!
Sorry Steven, no dice yet as for good pictures of a 308 in Rosso 302/C, but a lot of nice pictures here of a 246 Dino in the old "Rosso Rubino", which show the color quite well. Plus, the "Dino" is such a gorgeous car that it can't hurt... Rgds Ferrari Other | eBay
Thanks Bruno, I like that darker red. I have search on F Register as well, not too many examples were found too. No worries, time is on my side and Rosso Corsa is still my favourite I've tried reaching out to ferraripete earlier as well but his PM box is full. Hopefully he sees this a have it cleaned up a bit. He did respond to my other post in the general section.
After months of search, I've resorted to paint chip samples to confirm the actual colour of Rosso Met. 302/C. I've found it and here are the comparison with Rosso Corsa 300 and Rosso Dino 301: Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login The colour changes a lot under different lights. It glistens under bright sunlight or artificial light at an appropriate angle like other metal paints and appears slightly pinkish too. It appears to be a darker colour if there isn't enough light. It's darker than Rosso Corsa obviously and differs from the newer Rosso Met. 305/C but still appears to be quite a bit lighter than the Salchi paint Rosso Rubino. And then I have also found a car with this colour from this ad: http://www.heritageclassics.com/inventory/detail/1329-ferrari-308-gtsi.html Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login The colour of this car appears to be consistent with the factory paint chip I've got but the paint chip photos appear somehow different. Well, found what I need at least. The paint job can still wait
