Suspense is killing me. At dinner I told everyone I was expecting an important call. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I guess it's safe to assume that if you didn't get called, you didn't win. Oh well, I'm glad knowing my ticket went for a good cause. =)
I think I've dug up the winner on the school's website. Does anyone know if Ellen Cooper is an FChat member? News Detail | Louisville High School
There was a winner announced tonight......unfortunately not a F-Chatter Ellen Cooper from the San Fernando Valley was the lucky winner ! She wasn't present but a she received a surprise phone call. Here's the clip. Another thank you to all ! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WFfefyg98SU Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yes... I wished it would have been an F-Chatter, since we seem to have funded much of the Auction, but good luck & best wishes to Ms. Cooper, and may she drive it in good health!
I am not sure about my math skills but how did 750 tickets @ $100 each bring in over $100,000 as claimed on the high schools web site? Congrats to Ellen I am sure we will be seeing her around here.
It's a school... You can't expect them to get the math right every time... It must be that "New Math." Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The Ferrari was raffled by selling 750 tickets for $100 each. $75,000. An additional $27,000 was generously contributed by the estate to increase the scholarship beyond $100,000. Thank you to all for your participation.
Then I am glad my " common core" was pretty good. Where else could one possibly own a Ferrari for a mere $100 @ such great odds of winning? Fun fun fun. They should do these more often.
Ellen doesn't really want that car. I'm prepared to offer her $200 for it. She doubles her investment, and the car goes to someone who understands its needs. Win - win.
