Yeah he's mentioned it some years ago a few times. I think he mentioned it sometime when he said the 250 LM was/is his dream car.

F50 is one of my dream cars, the CGT being the other one.

If I could afford a Ferrari hypercar, it would be the F50.

Hate to bash the F50 love fest but sorry to say it wasnt that great of a car. The 355 rears caused the car to tramline horribly, totally impractical on todays roads and like driving a truck. Among many other things. They say you should never buy your dream car and this was it for me. Just sayin..

Well, since electric vehicles are the wave of the future, and these P1s, La Ferrari's and 918's are going to be scrap, I will offer to buy them from you guys for scrap metal prices.

I have heard from a reliable source at the factory that a battery upgrade is under development.

I wonder how this upgrade will affect the P1's value, with vs without. A lot, a little? Original battery may be better for collectors down the road, upgrade may command a higher price in the short term...

I don't think having an original battery will be seen as a must or positive by owners/collectors any more than having the original bag tanks has any impact (other than negative) on F40 values.

I can see that being the case, but I also imagine that batteries will have a different value moving forward, as they are more closely related to the drivetrain than accessories.
