    Do you mean 'Vulcan Aerospace'? (Name changed to Stratolaunch last year).

    It doesn't look like 'Vulcan Air', which is a totally different company, has any connection with Paul Allen...

    Apologies...."Vulcan Air" is a locals reference to the menagerie of aircraft that PA owns/operates/fly's his people around in......he owns a sizable part of our island and family/friends/etc visit routinely. Just had not seen the PC before......His property development company in Seattle is Vulcan Realty, div of Vulcan Inc., etc.

    Yup. Still a regular, at the airport! I always wonder why they don’t land at the property and raft up to the dock.....

    I thought that was the whole point of the Twin Otter? Maybe they go to the airport for fuel or something, or to park? I'm pretty sure the point of the Otter was that he wasn't allowed to land his helicopter on his property, so he bought the Otter instead.

    As an aside, the other story was that he had one of the yachts built entirely for the purpose of docking it in front of his property, landing the helicopter on the yacht, and then taking a small boat over to his dock. But the yacht took so long to build that he bought the Otter as an interim solution, and figured out that he liked it more than the helicopter.
