    I’m sceptical of paint coatings I had a new car done with polymer coating and you have to take back to the company to have inspected each year $$$ On top of the initial $1000.00, great up selling from the dealer.:oops:

    I won’t spend again on that type of treatment. Ever clear wraps aren’t the same there is one in Melbourne that is impressive the Euro one on my current car isn’t.:cool:

    You can buy you own pump pack “ceramic” but even that when you dig is silicon based.
    For my money learn how to properly wash an polish it yourself, and have it professionally detailed before you sell it.:)

    I'd stick to the vinyl wrap too. Works a treat and pretty invisible most of the time. Lasts for many many many many years....I've actually never had to replace any due to wear and tear.

    FWIW I swear by 3M wrap.

    Has to be properly applied though.

    yes my 550 has film as I live rural and the stones love that low noise.
    I just got a maser ft that already has this polymer applied and thought you guys must have some knowledge about any issues etc.

    strange the topic hasn't devolved into some unrecognisable mess yet ;

    Pretty sure I’ve used permagard on my cricket bat - if only because the sports shop said I should put it on and then sold it to me for more than the bat cost.
    Personally I think good old linseed oil is better.
    It’s important, however, to lightly sandpaper the surface of the bat with 180 grit sandpaper first. Then oil. Then thump with a mallet for quite a long time.
    It can be useful to watch Saturday Night Fever whilst doing this. It helps keep the rhythm of the bat-thumping where you want it.
    When you’ve finished, head to the nets with your bat and see how it performs. Preferably use your bat against old balls.
    If your bat comes away with no dents, it’s ready.

    You’re welcome.

    I think you're using your bat way too much Steve.

    I use linseed oil on the 550...Makes it look better than a wrap...someone told me that Vaseline is good as well....Trying to do the 308 in it but having trouble sourcing enough...It seems most of it has gone down to Victoria and up to QLD......:)
