Kind of surprised I haven't seen anything about him yet. I've never liked how pious the baseball writers get every year about the hall of fame, but at the same time, I'm not going to lose any sleep over whether Ryne Sandberg makes it or not. Like a columnist said today--It's a sports museum, people. Anyway, Pete Rose was an ****** when he played baseball, and he's still an ****** today. SURPRISE! Stop wasting the printed word telling me that he ruined the integrity of the game. Guess what? Professional sports sold their souls long ago when they went after the brass ring. That's OK--athletes should make a good buck if that's what the market dictates. I think baseball should just ignore Rose for a few decades, then admit him into the hall posthumously. Can't ignore what he accomplished on the field.
