To LondonFerrari612 - I offer you a public apology, and a thank you for following through with the promised picture. I'll post more if you've got 'em!

Would be great if my Dad had a car like this when I was at home (he had 190SL's but sold it for a house :()

I think your the only one who can see it. We just see a sharp looking 612. and means someone drove it in the wild.

No actually chipped in it the driveway! A raised stone piece around a tree caught it!

LF612......Thank you for changing your profile to reflect what is the truth. Everyone who acts in such a manner is welcomed equally here.

Alex......since you brought it up, and only if you are referring to my comment, I never doubted 100% that the car didn't exist, it was the ownership and the representation thereof that was the issue....I stated that LF612 didn't own it as per his earlier profile, which has now been changed. I was correct.

If you weren't referring to me......disregard.

I understand. But the truth is that if a car is in the family I believe it quite allright to identify it as such. As long as we knew the kid was a minor it is clear that the car belongs to his parent(s).
Far less troubling than someone shooting his mouth off branding the poor kid as a wanker.
My problem with this whole Fchat police thing is that the self-appointed guardians of all that is right on Fchat have absolutely no sense of proportion. The response these days is very Cheney like - blast it first and determine the facts after. Somewhat akin to drowning a woman to prove she is not a witch.
I have no problem with commensurate action taken against flagrant liars, but I really have an issue with pre-emptive nuclear strikes against a potential incursion by a mouse (not you Matty) that tripped a motion sensor.

The issue is that it is almost impossible to take back words once they have escaped from your mouth (or keyboard). An apology is usually hollow and still leaves a bitter taste. I would suggest some caution and real investigative action behind the scenes before any public flailing takes place.

ahh - ok, that's hard to take. But if my experience is anything to go by, it's impossible to avoid and all part of the learning curve. bumpers and wheels can be fixed - missed (s)miles are tougher to get back. Although I bet you heard some interesting words about then.

I'm not exactly sure who it was. It was done at a body shop I pressume in Calabases at The La Auto Gallery. It has ipod connection, satellite radio, real time traffic, 6 disc CD, and Navigation of course.

    Lovely 612

and Alex, bang on - the affection with which we should hold all people is needed more in this world now than ever, even (and arguably particularly) those with whom we are looking to better understand.

Yes it did because I didn't know who was out there.

greyboxer***Because my dad lived in London for 16 years, and I, 12. We moved to California almost 3 years ago.
