Wow, incredible! I was toying with the idea of a GT3 for the track, but honestly with these prices (and drama) of even getting a used one, I’ll just continue to slum it with the 458. The level of greed with some of these brands knows no bounds. I love the bundle approach, lol.

Sound aside, twin turbos have a way of bringing NA engines down to reality. I love the linear response of the STO, but it is not the blisteringly fast car I first thought once taking delivery of the F8.

Porsche dealers can charge whatever they like because many will pay. Once customers push back that will stop but so far people are willing to pay whatever it takes. For me, I had 2 991.2 GT3 manuals and sold them both. I just got bored. They aren't race cars and with the race seats just too uncomfortable for more regular use.

So if not tracking a GT3 you’d suggest which seats?

I have the 18 way sofas in mine and I would never get the stupid buckets. The 18 ways are quite incredible.

You will get 1000 options on this. There are folks that love the Porsche buckets. I hate them. But I actually like to drive my cars instead of them looking good.

Compared to this- Porsche buckets are lame. Mclaren makes the real torture device,

It’s been a couple of weeks and I’m still thoroughly enjoying the 765. True masterpiece what mclaren has done. I mentioned that the car is making me
Rethink the contents of my garage. As such my Signal Yellow GT3 is gone.

I just did not see my self picking up the keys to that car too much in the future. I enjoyed it but the hype the ADM, the dealer games with Porsche have been such a turn off that I’m likely done with the brand I think.

The GT3 is not a 300k car and I’m happy to be out before the entire market crashes on Porsche. Plus with their planned IPO- I can only see more nonsense from them.

Going to put the funds toward another Mclaren most likely as there is nothing from Ferrari that currently Intrigues me.

Porsche is above car in the 150k range but you start going 250k and up they are starting to play with the big boys and their 500 hp engine just cant keep up I’m afraid.

When my car arrived I drove it abut 400 miles home vs. having it shipped and for me they were perfectly comfortable. If anything I might adjust them slightly to be a bit less upright. You may want to look into this as well especially because you are over 6'.

Interesting opinions. I love the buckets in my 3RS, even on longer drives. Adding some P1 inserts would make that even better.

This. There is music and there is noise. Making noise louder produces loud noise- not great sound. Great naturally aspirated engines always sound better than turbos- always. Turbo’s produce no orchestra, no sweetness, and no nuance. If you cannot hear the difference- then I presume for you it’s not there. My previously owned 6 cylinder Boxster Spyder’s engine produced better sound than all of these loud turbo charged engines.

And these are the trade offs- I have a 296 GTS on order- I hope the performance makes up for the loss of music. As far as turbo engines go- it’s an improvement. I also have a GT4RS on order- some consider it the best sounding car ever made. I have not yet heard one.

Exactly and I chuckle at guy who comment and write a thesis on how the model of the car they’ve own for 3 years and 1200 miles handles.

I wouldn’t say they always sound better (although it is subjective anyways). The Pista sounds better than a Speciale to my ears which I know isn’t a common opinion.

Funny how many folks with Porsche GTx models run straight pipes on their cars at the track. Supremely loud, but not a pleasing sound IMO.

The F8 actually doesn’t sound too bad to my ears - it’s a bit of a relief compared to the 458 and STO. I can actually listen to the premium sound system and enjoy Sirius XM.

With the valves open the Pista sounds pretty good but too subdued IMO when closed.

The Pista sound is more sonorous, melodious and complex than the 458 and the Speciale which is cruder and atonal.

The sound of super cars when properly executed elevates the driving experience and is responsible for obviating the desire to turn on the sound system.

In the 458, there is no need to use the premium HiFi except perhaps when washing the car,

The STO…….forget it entirely. Road and engine noise cannot be abated with any sound system available.

The F8, superbly enjoyable listening to tunes while cruising around.

It’s the best of all worlds, really.

The 765 Im enjoying so much. This car is so much fun. The sound is incredible, just blows the Pista away in terms of sound. I sold my GT3. The lack of 250 hp was just too much. GT3 was fun but man the I just got sick of the hype around the GT3 and allocations and ADM. Regardless, now that GT3 is gone, Im debating adding another car. I will likely be ordering an Artura next week for next summer delivery to be used as a daily driver. In addition- seriously considering adding 675LT cause every single person Ive spoken to says as good as the 765 is, teh 675 is better. Hard to believe but Im going to test drive one next week.

If I do that- that leaves the question about the Pista. Keep it or sell it? Its an incredible car but the 765 has spoiled me and Im not driving it as much. Maybe I will get some wheel time behind it now that summer is over and good driving weather is here- but not sure. First world problems for sure. Not sure what Im going to do with Pista.

Real world, I tracked my Pista one time and the brakes were done after 3 laps amd there is no way in he'll it can keep up with a 765 on a track or straight line. Also, this must be the shortest of tracks for a 1.08 time.

The Ferrari will really cook the rear brakes unless you run Esc Off. I manage to do it on track with the 458, I wouldn’t attempt it with the F8 or a Pista.

... And there was quite slippery (for Trofeo R's) and the wind was blowing :p

In a straight line, the P/W ratio wins. The 720s has already been faster in a straight line than Pista. So why 765 LT shouldn't be faster in a drag race?

On a track though, ... there is the second story.

I don’t track but this is one hell of a short track. Do we know if it was the same day? Same driver? Same tires? Same conditions for both cars?
