In fact, that last fact is a blessing! It was sure nice to do a nice and steady 130 kph on the spare. In fact, I was surprised how little difference I could feel between driving with normal wheels and the space saver spare!

Oh, and on a Euro GT4, there is no way that even a 205/55/16 will fit in that little hole up front. I am starting to wonder if the Euro and US spec spare wheel well are of different size? Really, the 125 width space saver only leaves room for very little dirty laundry (hey, I was on a road trip) :D

That's exactly what I was thinking. And on a GTB, without the rear spoiler, it makes the car look even more classic.

No, that's the more common "upsize", which is what I have. It is essentially the same diameter as the original 225/50's... actually slightly SMALLER in diameter! It will fit. See below:

The most common "upsize" (which is what I did) is to put the stock 225/55 tires on the front wheels, and then go 245/45 on the rear. Puts more rubber on the ground without increasing diameter.

You just carry a new tire only in the spare, no rim...

Or put the flat into the passenger seat, either way......
