I have read driving impressions from R&T,C&D,M/T,and FORZA. They all drove the same car, and the car Autoweek drove is that same car. None of these reports constitutes a real test. And as M/T reported in May 2018,Ferrari has admitted to "optimizing" the cars it provides to the automotive press. And by the way,Autoweek, the Portofino (and other Ferraris) no longer use the F1 transmission. We still wait for a real instrumented road test.

“As with its everyday usable predecessors, Portofino buyers will drive their cars 2.5 times more than owners of other Ferrari models. Some 85 percent will drive their Portofino daily and for vacation travel, and 30 percent will put children in the back seat. Perhaps most important to Ferrari, 70 percent of Portofino buyers should be new to the brand.”

this is me, and why I bought a California T. Not quite a daily driver, more like daily-ish. Front loading the cost of ownership with 7 years of prepaid maintenance and the Power15 warranty removed any anxiety I would have harbored about buying Ferrari.

California T apparently laps Fiorano in 1'28.

So Portofino laps closer to 488 than to California T. The question still remains, where California T HS slots in. Is it closer to California T or Portofino?

Lets list these unofficial Fiorano lap times with power/weight details.

    488 GTB - 1'23 ( 670 hp, 760 Nm, 1475 kg, 2.20kg/hp, 1.94kg/Nm, 2.06kg/avg(hp+Nm) )
    458 Italia - 1'25 ( 570 hp, 540 Nm, 1485 kg, 2.61kg/hp, 2.75kg/Nm, 2.68kg/avg(hp+Nm) )
    Portofino - 1'25 ( 600 hp, 760 Nm, 1664 kg, 2.77kg/hp, 2.19kg/Nm, 2.45kg/avg(hp+Nm) )
    Califor. T - 1'28 ( 560 hp, 755 Nm, 1730 kg, 3.09kg/hp, 2.29kg/Nm, 2.63kg/avg(hp+Nm) )

Particularly the last figures i.e. weight/average(power+torque) ratio are good for comparisons. We can see that Portofino has significantly better performance ratio than 458 Italia, but of course it looses on handling. If comparing purely the performance ratings, Cali T HS could manage even 1'26. But then on, I guess that's a bit too much by stiffer springs only. So I would assume HS ends closer to 1'27.
