When talking to a customer in a suit and smart shoes on their wet decking bear in mind it might be slippery and you could fall over and land on your back, much to the homeowners amusment.

Assume makes an ASS out of U and ME.

Pouring boiling hot water into a glass looks like it will work, but the glass might just fall to pieces.

Women you speak to over the phone at work who sound hot, wont be when you meet them.

Don't be tempted to peer at the water over the side of a boat travelling at speed when wearing your brand new expensive sunglasses.

The same applies to babies (not dangling them out of boats or anything). If you are wearing sunglasses or glasses and have a baby on your lap, there is only one thing on his mind.

A weight shift will occur when pulling a car into an enclosed trailer that has been detached from the tow vehicle bumper. This weight shift will cause the trailer tongue to lift off the ground. When parked on an inclined surface, a lack of wheel chocks will allow the trailer to roll downhill with the trailer tongue in the air. You need something to stop the rolling.

Even though you turned off the breaker to work on an electrical circuit, other workers may have decided to help you out by turning on all the breakers when they trip just one of them. That way the other guy does not have to walk back and forth to see which circuit they tripped. This will allow you to make a nice burn mark on your lower leg while the electricity burns your flesh until the breaker can trip again...

It's perfectly OK to date a girl purely on the grounds of your strong attraction to a particular part of her body. Just don't confuse that for love.

You should never let circumstances dictate your life.

Happiness occurs while working towards something else.

This is absolutely true! The quality of a person's telephone voice is completely unrelated to any other quality they may or may not have.

When the clutch cable breaks on either a Corvair or a Porsche 911, it is possible to drive it back to the mechanic by the simple expedient of using the starter moter to get the car going in first gear from rest, and then to shift gears without the clutch by carefully matching the RPM with the engine throttle.

The Corvair is easier than the Porsche because it has relatively larger synchromesh rings on the gears.

The more you live, the less you die.

Its not speed that injures/kills, its the sudden stop.

It is not about what you achieve, but about what you overcome.

And every time you do it, you will cry yourself to sleep at night - worrying about whether that transmission will ever be the same.

Big hard-asses will USUALLY, not always, whimp out if challenged.

When riding on the back of a jetski and the driver makes a very sharp turn, make sure you hold on tight or you will fall off.

Not me, the trans seemed to not be bothered at all by this method. The starter was a little weak, but the trans was really smooth using this no clutch driving style. Surprising for sure! I would not try it unless I was in fear for my life in the Ferrari though.

When you play goalie in a game of road hockey, and you're playing with one of those orange, hard plastic balls, whatever you do, wear a cup.
