This was a fascinating thread but I feel that it did not really reach a conclusion. I had wondered why Nathan had asked the question (although I know this is one of his "chosen specialised subjects"). When I saw the supplement to PfM I realised why there could have been some urgency! The cards in question are shown in the supplement as being unofficial: what exactly does this mean? Does unofficial = fake? There seems to be some issues with these cards, including the size. If I find these for sale, how should I treat them? Thanks, Robert
Hello Robert, As you can see from the posts in this thread, there is some debate about these white background driver cards. I had to make a decision about what to call them when we printed the update, so I decided that 'unofficial' was the best term. They're not fake because they are not copies of something else, and are not being passed off as originals. You can find them for sale on Ebay, and they are quite cheap. Whether you collect them or not - that's for you to decide. Nathan
I'll concur with Nathan. However, if the eBay seller claims "official Ferrari" that may not be the truth.
Hello Nathan, Unfortunately I did not get any further information of this cards by by source at Maranello. Perhaps the 2018 pre-season cards would have been already distributed at the test days at Barcelona. By the way, any chance to get the supplement booklet without owning the book? Thanks and I will keep you updated about 2018 cards. Best regards Tommy
