I normally spend my time in the Dino and 308 section but last week I was invited to Pininfarina in Italy and got to see some of their private collection. Among the cars was a prototype Boxer along with an original wood body buck. I'm sure these cars are nothing new to the really knowledgeable Boxer guys here but we all love pictures so here are some of the ones I took while there. Enjoy.

Amazing! Thanks for sharing. I'm so glad they decided on the 6 tail light and 6 tail pipe scheme on the 365 versus the prototype.

great pics, thanks for sharing. always luv the prototype boxer.

some have claim its a non-runner here on fchat.... then why are there keys in the ignition :) ?

these were taken about 20 years ago when stop by to visit some colleagues... im pretty sure it was a runner. i have some more recent photos taken about 8 years ago somewhere i cant seem to find.

John thanks for these amazing pics of the car at Art Center. I too am a graduate in Transpiration Design always great to meet other ACCD car designers. I am assuming these pics were taken at the original campus?

    wonderful pics John!

today, i luv those odd burlap seats. they sure did feel weird and im not surprised folks replaced them with leather on the early cars

im trans accd here too... but the lida campus. that almost looks like tom semple with his hands on his hips in sunglasses.

I think we can put the "engine less" debate to rest...

PS you didnt happen to go LA autoshow back in 73 did you? Looking for images taken there of the ital design proto of the esprit.

That's not Tom Semple. It's Roger Ross, one of my classmates. Image Unavailable, Please Login

john, those art posters are spectacular. who was the consignment artist?

72 poster... sandwich between the modulo and boomerang, is that suppose to be jerry wiegert's Vehicle Design Force prototype?

    Barron Storey was the artist.
Yes that was Wiegert's car IIRC, but i'm not positive.
