Went for a great ride yesterady with my girlfriend in my 84 QV. Woke up this morning to find the passenger seat side bolster punctured and determined it was due to a metal clip on her blouse. It's small right now and I don't want it to get larger while I figure out what to do.

Any ideas for either containment or repair would be welcome.

    Thanks.

    Frank

Sponsor George Pavlisko (www.Leatherique.com) has a leather repair gel ("crack filler") that hardens clear and can be dyed to match. Give him a call... it's only $6 for a small tube of it, and it will seal it off to keep it from getting any worse.

    Dear Ferraristi,

If the metal clip was on the FRONT of her blouse and the puncture was on the back or the bottom of the seat......Hmmmm :)

Unfortunately, the clip was on the BACK of her blouse. But I DID tell her that from now on she has to ride topless!!

I agree with above on the filler... a compnay called colossus inc in indianapolis repaird my 355 seat when a simliar occurence happened... their number is 317-844-5844, speak with Lee. The stuff they used was perfect and lasted and wore fine for the duration i ad the car. cost me 25$ for them to do it even.

Thanks for the tips. I ordered the Leatherique Crack Filler and will give that a try first.

BTW, I'm fairly new to this forum and had a good laugh over some of the comments on my predicament. Women might be right: Men ARE pigs!! :O) !!

    Thanks again.
