Hello....does anyone know where I can purchase a set (2) of push pull fastners for my 1995 F355? They are used to hold down the covers for the fuse box and the ww in front trunk.

    Thanks!

If you are talking about the Tenax fasteners, try Eagle Day on line. They have them. You want the German version, not the UK's.

Are you referring to item 5 in the following diagram?

FRONT COMPARTMENT CARPETS - Ricambi America, Inc.

Aren't these screw types? They are on my '98

(EDIT) Please disregard, I know what you mean now :D

They used to call them "plunger and grommet" fasteners in the aviation industry

Not on a 95 they are snaps.

Later cars use screws for the covers.

Originials have a pony on them.

The fasteners for both the LH and RH covers were manufactured for Ferrari by Tenax. The OEM ones are black and have the Ferrari horse on them. If you want to pay the price Ferrari charges to have the horse in black, that's your choice. However, you can buy the same Tenax fastener without the horse from Eagle Day on line for about $5 each in a chrome finish (I think black is also available as is SS.....I also think you can pay extra to get the logo of your choice on them as well).

These are the exact same fastener Ferrari uses for the Spider top boot because, once latched, they won't come off unless released by pulling up on the round "handle". The male pins that they fit over are the German type and are not compatible with the UK type so be sure you get the German Tenax type.

WOW....... What great responses!! Thanks very much!

I believe the 95 was snap style ;changed in later models.

I will try to secure the Tenex version.....ALGAR Ferrari in Phila., Pa quoted me $45.00 per fastner!

    Talk about excessive........

    Great forum and people!!!

I have about 45 of them (just kidding) on the boot on my Mondial and the black horsey covers come off in the wind sometimes. Just try to find some outside the dealer network. They do crop up from time to time, one of our members has some for $30. They are like hens teeth.

    See post #8 here: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/mondial/505221-tonneau-snap-cover-needed.html

You can get the ones without the horsey for about $5-8, make sure they are German.

    It's tenax, not tenex, BTW.
