Questions about extracting the gearbox shafts

Hello to all,

I’m now ready to remove the gearbox shafts, the long one is not a problem, but I’ve the followings questions for the short one:

- If I am right, the elements in the red box on the picture have to stay in the gearbox during the axis removal but …

- There is the ball bearing ring at the axis extremity, which prevent to remove these elements and doesn’t move easily, so what is the best way to remove it?
Simply tap with a wood and a hammer on the axis lengthwise to slide the axis in this ring ?

- And how to remove the axis C on the picture, It seem’s that there is a key somewhere but I don’t see it.
