No the numbers I gave are pretty much exact. Slightly rounded to the hundred.

I just bought a 348 because I think the value will rise...better than the darn stock market.
I also own a 308GTS, which is seeing a great value rise. Interesting that the total 308 production was over 12,000, while the 348 was 8650. Seems the rarity for the 348 is in our favor. Give it time, I think we will all be happy!

Yeah, they built 308s for over a decade but 348 for just 5 years. So more per year for the 348 but a shorter production run meant less cars total. Good deal.

I bought my 348 to enjoy driving it. Going up in value would just be icing on the cake :)

I'm a rookie here, but the best I can figure from what I have read is that the majority say "buy it and drive it". I bought my number 52 Serie Speciale 348 and I get as much joy from looking at it as I do from driving it. I drive it very very rarely and it is stored covered in a air conditioned garage. I know taboo right? Cue Enzo rolling over in grave!

I bought it earlier this year and have had serious offer of $20,000 more than I paid for it. If I decide to sell it down the road and got back what I paid for it (excluding my carrying costs) I would still be thankful to have owned it. That being said I hope to sell it some day for about twice what I paid for it LOL.

If I were smart, I probably try to find a well sorted 355 3 pedal for a 3-5,000 mile per year fun driver. He'll maybe I'll start looking for one.

To each their own but for me, I expect icing on every cake.

Show us where you came up with those numbers, from my past research those number are OFF by a good margin. Not claiming you are wrong but just not adding up. Any insight would be helpful to all of us.

My friend bought this '90 TS a few months back, Rosso/Tan, 15,400 miles, he's hesitant to keep it after I explained it'll need an engine out to correctly do the major, he's at that "hmmm" crossroads lol

An "investor" instead of a 348 enthusiast? ;)

Selling soon he'll probably get all of his money back.

I don't need to show you the numbers. Do a search and in 5 minutes you will find many many references to these numbers. Some are different by a couple cars but are consistent enough to get real feel that they are very close. Not sure when or where you did your past research but maybe you should try again. I actually might have fat fingered the 348 # as most sources show it at 8850 instead of 8650. But the 11,200 # is very consistent. I'm not going to post 20 links that support the numbers because it's so overwhelmingly consistent. If you can show some info that shows otherwise now that would be interesting.
