Alonso wanted to retire the car many a times while with Mclaren-Honda and he got no overriding flak from team radio.

Hamiltons situation is quite different from Alonso's.

Does it matter if he is talking about a specific race or not? It does'nt to me. But if its a strong point to you, thats fine.

Doesn't matter if situation is different. No pass given to Alonso in my book, but Its not a big issue for me if Alonso did it.

Of course. You probably have no idea what Mclaren-Honda went thru from 2015 thru 2017 (3 years) and going thru over 65 PU's for those 3 years....that's just on the track which doesn't include more PU's thru bench testing.

Again, Alonso's scenario thru those 3 years and Hamiltons one-off of wanting to retire the car only to overridden by team radio ARE EXACTLY DIFFERENT.

I watched those years. He gets no pass. Again, so rare, I'm ok with him and others doing it. Not a big deal to me

Actually it does matter because you either misunderstood his point or changed the argument intentionally. Even in debate defeat you're something else......

I see no defeat. No one provided the proof I asked for. I don't see where it matters, no problem if you see it different.

You're doing your typical BS and ask for examples of things you know do not exist, because they're utterly devoid of logic, then strut around as if you've won the argument.

The exact equivalent of playing chess with a pidgeon.

Oh jesus just read the rest of the thread.

Another sound observation. As usual, you're 100% wrong, but that's to be expected.

You moved the goal posts, changed phrasing, and debated an obfuscation of the original conversation instead of engaging in good faith. You'd have a better time of it if you didn't twist the words of the English language in an attempt to "win" debates all cost. That was extremely painful reading and ensured that everyone, including you, lost time in their lives to that frustrating drivel.

Unless you'd like to miss the first race of the season, cool it.

    Thanks,
    Andrew.

Did you just totally overlook the post where I am insulted? I'm not trying to be combative. But there must be some type of explanation as to why post that insult me get overlooked. Would it help if I point them out to you?
2nd I never moved a goal post. Hotshoe stated Sir Lewis Hamilton wants to win but retires the car. In essence my response was prove that retiring a car solely means you didn't want to win. Nobody could answer that.

To save Andrew a couple of minutes:

in post #2900 you quite literally moved the goalpost from ''wanting to win'' to specifically "was in a position to win and asked to retire''.

You really, really do not want to claim you *never* moved the goalpost when it was less than 50 posts ago in this very thread, let alone plenty of other instances.

The essence of my question is still the same. You can delete "in the position to win". My point still remains: Prove that retiring a car solely means you didn't want to win.

I can't be arsed wasting any more time on this, if you can't even comprehend that you literally moved the goalpost to win an argument, then there is simply no hope left.

No problem if you feel I moved the goal post. The essence of my point remains unanswered.
