    Hi

I bought a ferrari last week I was given two red fobs. I was told one of them works with the car and the other one needs to be programmed to the other red one. Can this be done. I was told yes then no and yes. Can some one let me know.

From a traditional Ferrari dealer/answer standpoint -> No

(edit: IF this car is a 360).

On a 360 - Red fob is the master fob. The black ones are the slave fobs.

However there is a guy on here with the username "Gobble". Contact him to talk about reprograming the red fob and/or purchasing additional black fob(s) since he has the tools to read/write/copy the internals of the fobs.

If the only working fob you have is the one red one, you may want to figure something out in the near future. Since if you lose it, it's a pricey (and often time-consuming) fix to get a new alarm setup/config from a dealer.

I also recently posted this too - http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=381919

My 430 came with two red keys, both of which work fine.

The 360 original came with 2 keys and 3 fobs - 2 black fobs and 1 red (master) fob. The 430 came with 2 keys with integrated remote (= no fobs).

Does anyone clone the 430 integrated key? I only have 1. :(

Haven't heard of anyone on here doing it. I think the reason is because of the cost of the integrated key unit itself.

On the 360 it's just an alarm fob, for which similar replacement units can be used/modified to work on the Ferrari that were originally for Porsche or whatever.

On the 430 it's all in one, and I don't know if cheaper alternate replacements can be found. I think the brand new cost from the dealer is over $500 (maybe as high as $900?) for another 430 key. Haven't heard of anyone doing clones on the cheap, or where, but perhaps someone knows.
