He altered the ad slightly, but the claims being made about the repairs are simply unbelievable - no way they hold water based on what we heard from people who didn't have a financial interest in the car. This is 'Buyer Beware' for sure now.

just curious normally a clean titled f50 would go for around 1M right? So even though this guy appears to be lying about the history his price of 500k is fair?

Possibly... but the lying in the ad proves that he's a crook. And who would want to risk a half million dealing with a crook?

His price isn't $500K, his starting bid is $500K. And the language in the ad suggests he wants considerably more than that.

There is more than one broker trying to sell this car, look at the comments at the bottom. This guy that placed the ad most likely doesn't have it in his possession, just trying to make a fast buck acting as the agent.

You can't post a photo on someone else's auction. If someone sends him a message, he has the choice whether he wants to post the message for all to see on eBay. He probably won't post a message that calls him out.

I think he's suggestions sending the pics to eBay while your reporting his scam. Clearly major damage happened and the seller is just outright lying.

This is such a cool story. It would be cool to own this car because of the history of it alone. It reminds me of the DINO found buried in cali.

Fascinating story. This ebay guy doesnt even make sense. I thought the car is still damaged sitting in kentucky or with the insurance company as repair was deemed not possible by Ferrari techs. The pictures he posted in the ad must be some other car? I saw his stupid disclaimer at the bottom that he added. Nonsense

In the auction Q&A it says the car has recently passed a CA smog check.

The last record of a smog test for this cars VIN dates to 2003:

    FERRA - F50 - 1995 - 03/17/2003 11:51 a.m. - Pass - Cert: EY129835C

I thot y'all might be interested in this email chain with the evil bay lister. Start at the bottom.

"diffidently"? . I think you meant "definitely".

By the way, both Google and yp.com show the 1533 Baker Street Address. Couldn't find a website for Greenline nor any reference online to your address being 1133 Baker Street. Perhaps you have recently moved. But if that is the correct address, are you between the pawn shop and the donut shop?

Finally, I notice you show 94.7% positive feedback on ebay. Congratulations. Is the site correct that you have 35 positives as a buyer and one as a seller?

    Thanks

    Don

A F50 FERRARI OWNER DIFFIDENTLY WILL TAKE IT TO A AUTHORIZE DEALER !
    YOU GOT A WRONG ADDRESS
    1133 BAKER ST
    COSTA MESA , CA 92626
    BY APPOINTMENT ONLY !

    Mo

What I said was true. Ferrari of America does not service cars. If the vehicle was always serviced by an authorized Ferrari dealer, what you said is also true, the service records are available from FOA. But not all Ferrari owners service their cars at authorized dealers, and not all owners have the recommended services timely done. Why don't you offer to make redacted pdf copies available to prospective buyers instead of reserving them for the "new owner only".

Do I have your location correct at 1533 Baker St, Costa Mesa, CA.? I googled your location but couldn't find your business. If that is the correct address, is your business located to the left or to the right of the ice machine and beauty shop in that building?

    Don

    Dear sf_hombre,

EVERY Ferrari authorize dealer will send all the service history or warranty works to Ferrari of north america for each car !
YES , FERRARI OF NORTH AMERICA HAS ALL THE SERVICE HISTORY ON THIS CAR AND I HAVE THEM IN HANDS FROM THEM!

    Dear greenlineautos11,

?? Ferrari of America does not service cars.

    - sf_hombre

    Dear sf_hombre

ALL the services history are documented by Ferrari of America and i will have them for the new owner only !
    thx

    - greenlineautos11

    Dear greenlineautos11,

Has the owner from whom the car was stolen given you all the service records?

It would appear that the seller has very little experience with attorneys..... because if he did......might word his auction differently..... I have sold a number of cars on eBay and I must tell you. I have never seen an auction that is so defiantly defensive....Its like trying to be shown a car from a Jr version of Robert Deniros character in that movie where he tries to sell that couple the Audi.... I forgot his line something about are you going to buy It? No your not a customer now get out..

At least he is pointing his potential customers to a source where they can find more information.

Sad and silly that in his fit of rage he can't spell the word 'car' though.
