    Am I this stupid and old, trying to remove the white rotor on my 79 308. Seems I remember a set screw on it but I sure can't find it now. Help an old guy get this off.

    No "screw" on a stock carbed '78-'79 308 distributor rotor -- it just pulls off.

    Thanks Steve, I had pulled as hard as I felt was needed, after your reply I pulled a lot harder and it came off.
