Do many of you in this area, Phoenix, have older cars? Work on them yourself? I have an 87 mondial that I do most of the repairs and maintenance on.

Yes, to both questions. There is almost nothing that I will not tackle.

I strongly recommend you bring it to Andy for a belt service. The cam variators need to be sync'd together otherwise you will constantly have a CEL. You can hear a difference when the cams are not sync'd. Simply slapping new belts on without changing cam seals or adjusting the pulley's on camshaft is a poor way to service a Ferrari in my opinion.

Plus most belt services will require tensioners, tensioner bearings, cam seals, water pump, etc.

Cam seals are not necessary, nor is the water pump.... unless there is a problem. The tensioners and bearings are a cake walk.

I take my 456m to Andy as well. I let the experts handle just about everything on that car. My benzes and my Renault, that's another kettle of fish and I'm on for about 75% of repairs on those cars ...so long as a lift is not needed.
