Nuna AACE is not a great option as it only fits with the head rest in the lowest position. Mine is in the closet (taking up a lot of space) until we need it for our other car. I just wipe off the back of the front seat ever so often. The bottom part of the rubber door seal gets dirtier as my kid used to have to step there first to get into the back. Kid can now step over that portion and directly into the back, but it took some practice as the exterior side skirt is wide. You will want floor mats for the back. The car does not come with any. See my previous post for recommendation.
Here’s another option that functions as a seat belt positioner, like a booster seat. It’s small enough to fit any car and to keep shoes away from the seat in front. And they won’t damage the seat they’re placed on. They keep little butts down and low, which is good for some reasons (safety, COG), but it limits their visibility a bit. Has anyone tried "Porsche Junior Seat I-Size" or the manufacturers equivalent "Britax-Römer Kidfix M I-size" in a Portofino? It should fit in the back of a 911 so maybe its a good solution for the Portofino/Roma as well? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Installed it today on my new Roma. Fits perfectly. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Can the kid see out of the window? Maybe through the front passenger window? I’m thinking if Roma could be an alternative when going on longer road trips, but I’m sure my daughter would get tired after 200 kms if she’s staring into the b-pillar
You can't really have anyone sitting on the front seat if the rear child seat is in use, and for best visibility you want to tilt the seat forward (which means it will slam back every time you accelerate).
As Always I end up with that a Lusso is the only sensible choice as a family car… thanks for the input!
My daughter is 2 years old (very tall for her age) (92cm) and fit confortobly. She smiled for the entire first drive. The same way I smiled during the first drive. Her legs were not touching the front seat by the way so there is still space. I am not sure if she can fully see outside but she for sure can see the driver side as she kept smiling. My wife also sits without issues in the front and she is 5’5” (165cm). Hope this helps.
I doubt she can see anything out the windows. My kid is several inches taller and sees only a little bit out the small back seat window (the one behind the b-pillar) and nothing out the front. But my kid still loves our Roma after a year. For that I am grateful as we have driven the car far more than I anticipated. Of course, it is not always perfect. Sometimes the kid would rather be in the SUV watching the iPad strapped to the back of our front seats. My suggestion to you: put a few music albums on the Roma's hard drive, some for you and some for your daughter. Apple Carplay is slow to start and not 100% reliable. Sometimes the answer to a tantrum is to belt out Frozen's "Let it Go" while you are zipping down the highway in your $300,000 sports car.
I would have to run straight pipes to let my daughters play let it go in my Roma! Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I have this car and there is not way an older child can sit safely in it. I got it to be my daily driver with my 8 year old but sadly Roma ends up sitting in the garage most of the time. If you watch the video at 4:41 the kids are not buckled up. For a 6 year old (if he was buckled up) the seat belt would be way too high and will be crossing his neck to sit safely (not shown in the video), if you place a booster in the car, his head will loose the head/neck support, the problem a ten year old in this video has. She outgrew the seat because there is no headrest (neck support) for her being in the seat. The current version (spyder) has a headrest but it seems like it has even less room than a non spyder version and the seat is even more vertical.
