I'm also looking for a paint supplier of rosso bordeaux, but my automotive paint store can't seem to find the formula for 20R351. Just to be clear, I'm only looking for the non-metallic color (not the one pictured in post #14). Probably the 1st pic in post #8.

The paint store was able to find a standard-formula color (GM Holden) which is a deep red with a lot of 'blue' in it which I like, but I need to compare it to an actual car. Is there someone in southern California with a rosso bordeaux car (doesn't need to be a Ferrari!) who wouldn't mind my coming over with my panels of paint samples in hand?

Or please suggest a paint supplier in SoCal who might have better luck mixing up this color?

    TIA,
    David

I think there was a 70 us auto magazine with one on the cover. It seems to be particularly alive when sun is low and the crease line separates top and bottom, making it almost two tones of the same color. Hypnotic. One stage two stage? Can you explain?

Modern paints have a second "clear coat" which gives more protection against acid rain and UV light. Back in the day they didn't use a clear coat. My paint shop also said that with a two stage paint its easier to match the color if you get a ding and have to repaint a section.

It should be, they have had the car 3 months!!!! Exceptional paint job too, cannot believe the professionalism of the guys at the Bodyshop in Barkingside

Yes it is only one of 11 original GT RHD manufactured cars in the world, isuk has done a lot of extensive research into this and this is his conclusion. So it does make it an extremely rare car as nobody really knows how many are left.

Thanks, i'l try to get that assington hall photo too.. I haven't forgotten :)
