    As you say. A sad story. I wonder if the seatbelts would have saved them.

    "Neither was wearing a seatbelt"...really bad choice, especially in a convertible. High chance the seatbelts will make a difference.

    "Young guys"? 41 and 42 years old? I guess age is relative, but these weren't kids. And the owner let them take it "for a spin" on a late Saturday evening, sure what could possibly go wrong.

    Very sad for sure, but one has to use some common sense.
