Saddle Soap to fix Sticky Button?

    Hello everyone,
    Wondering if Saddle Soap is the easiest way to fix a slightly sticky button.

    Never heard of saddle soap to clean buttons. We soak them in a solution

    (Good) Saddle soap is often glycerine based, so it might help.
    I'd be afraid that it might leave a sticky residue afterward, though.

    It is meant for leather. Proper way to clean leather is to dampen it, then soap it, then rinse off. Leather is just skin - so think of how you shower.
    Rinsing the soap off afterward might be dangerous for the electronics beneath. Maybe a damp Q-Tip but I'd be very careful with anything else.

    OTOH while you are in the car with a bar of saddle soap, there's plenty of other surfaces that you could use it on. I guess it won't go to waste!
