Does anyone think Santa Barbara could benefit from a reputable well-run Ferrari shop? It seems as though LA is a Santa Barbara owners only option...

    YES!

Not much to work with after Jack Bianchi got into the high end body shop business in the 90s. He came back to exotics just in time to finish off my Dino in Jan 06 and then retired. Seth Hatfield bought his shop and is working on Ferraris but there is a steep learning curve. Routine work is just fine and he is learning. Serious engine / transmission work needs outside help. Import Auto is a great machine shop but that is their specialty. Final installation and tune is still wanting in SB. There are probably more Ferraris per capita in SB than any other City (maybe excepting Monaco and Marbella). There is a need.

Bianchi's shop did great bodywork, they made the rest of the car look bad.
I think that Julian at Winning Makes does some Ferrari work.

The Auto Gallery has been thinking about setting up a shop. I would say there is at least 100 Ferrari's in SB from California Spyders to 275s to modern cars.
