I saw the first Gallardo in Vancouver (at Weissach Motorcars, home of the blue Murcielago as well) Image Unavailable, Please Login
IMHO Lambo needs to let the designers use something other than a ruler when comming up with the body style. The Boxy Angular look just does nothing for myself still looks like something from the late 70's early 80's. Here is the Gallardo that was on display in scottsdale last month.
wow that's one beautiful car. I just wish lambo/audi would start putting rwd as an option again as well as large wings like on the old diablo vts. Has anyone seen pics of that new murcielago gt-r? OMG it looks insane.
Glass would be interesting, but it looks like a rather small window - maybe just the photo angle. i think it looks better in dark metallics rather than solid colors - as with the Vanquish, 350Z, etc. Clax - well, those 500hp Celica's cost like $600k - do you remember that yellow one TRD built (with the Enzo-prophetic nose) that was in C&D back in 2000?
The one that rob posted a picture had a really snazzy yellow interior... Heres the back end of the same car. Image Unavailable, Please Login
It's an OK car in person, definately a sports car, untill you get to the rear! GAH! Dear FRICKING God! The rear end of this car is just hiddious. The Celica's actually looks better. I hate to say it, because overall, I otherwise kinda like it. Don't love it, but like it. But it makes the Murci look really good, which, well.... I do like Lambo's new paint, and their latest Gated shifters are awesome. DITCH 4wd PLEASE! It's for sissies! Best! Ben.
I had a play in a Gallardo and Murcie at Lamborghini London's garage in Kensington. I'm 6ft2 and about 14.5stone (14lbs=1stone) and built to play rugby. I found myself squashed in the Murcie almost to the point of not being comfortable. It's possibly my favourite contemporary car so that wouldn't put me off. The Gallardo is much more roomy. It was a 6sp and it has a very long clutch movement. Really have to move your whole foot to fully depress it. It wouldn't be hard to toe and heel though. The Gallardo was yellow and it looks great from the front. As already expressed, the rear is just not Lamborghini. It doesn't look right. Way too boxy and not in a good way such as how the Countach is. It also amazed me about the interior space. It is about 2 arms lenghts for me from the back of the seat to the bottom of the front windscreen! All in all, its a great car but i wouldn't pay over £100k for it (list is about £115 i think...). Cheers all. Andy
