Sirs, Just came back from a fab week in Scotland. I collected lots of information about Whiskey distilleries and the roads between them! Thinking that May/June next year would be a good time for the f-tour we have talked about..don't want it to be too close to the Swiss trip and much before = not enough time, much after = summer's over. Thoughts? Here's a few pics to whet the appetite in the meantime: Doing my bit for the f-chat name on the slopes.. The first three pics are taken at the very top of the Cairngorm range..like, take the railway as far up as you can, then hike up for an hour or so..amazing up there, like being on the moon.
Marc, WONDEFRUL pics & an AMAZING surrounding!!!!! Yes, I would definitely like to go there!!!!!!!!!!!!! But your winter pics doesn`t looks very Ferrari friendly For sure, we should drive there in summer! Wolfarossa FORZA FERRARI
Guys If You would like to have a trip to Scotland I would be more than happy to help organise routes etc... I live near Stirling which is between Edinburgh & Glasgow. There are some fantastic roads that take you up to the North of Scotland via some spectacular Loch's etc.. It's well worth the effort!!!! Rod
Rod, this are wonderful news!!!! Please get in touch with hedge/Marc he is already planing something for 2005. Yes, we would like to travell thru Scotland and your help is very appreciated! Wolfarossa FORZA FERRARI
Hi Rod, Stirling's a cool place! I remember a castle, a pub....and it's all a blank thereafter! Cheers, MARK
If any further help is required please let me know,I live on the East coast approx 8km from St.Andrews. Best regards Dave McGuire
WOW, this sounds fantastic!!!!! A real Scotish dude with the "Mc" in his name I`m sure we will have a great Scotland trip next year. Visiting "Nessie" and the famous distileries Wolfarossa FORZA FERRARI
McWolfgang doesn't really work..McHedge on the other hand.. Dave, sounds cool and closer to the time we should definately chat this through and plan something. I am a huge Scotland fan, spending one great week a year there.
Hi Marc, seems like we have now a group of Scotland experts togehter. Marc, Dace Mc...bow thats soooo cool, Rod Yes, please go togehter for it and work something out for us, the dudes from the continent WolfaMcrossa FORZA FERRARI
Guys The Malt Classic Car run takes place every year in Scotland, I will try and find out which roads they have access too. The West coast run is Fab, drive up the A82 first thing in the morning ( zero traffic) and a cracking road with long straights, swooping bends & glorious scenery... And not a speed camera in sight!!!! Hedge did you have any route's planned? Rod
Hi Mark Was it in that order? Or was it a blank then you found a pub and ended up in a Castle!!! Did you tour Scotland? Rod
Mhmmm, don`t want to talk for Mark. But after he has found at least THE PUB...the rest is history Wolfarossa FORZA FERRARI
Hey-Hey-Hey! Let's avoid confusion here....Hedge = Marc and MAlfaRK = Mark! I don't touch the stuff!! Cheers, MARK
Gentlemen,I am sure that I talk for all of our British "chatter"s" and Scottish ones in particular in that we look forward to your visit next year Rod is correct in that the West coast is the better driving/scenic area however the east side also has it"s merits.Incidentally are you all aware that there is a ferry which leaves on a daily basis from Zeebrugge to Rosyth?Rosyth is in Fife just North of Edinburgh and very close to Rod in Stirling and myself by St Andrews it is also a relatively short drive to the Highlands from there.Any further info required please do not hesitate to ask. Best regards Dave McGuire p.s.Rosyth is also only 35ks from the only Ferrari main dealer in Scotland
Wow!!!! A Ferrari Dealer in Scotland?!?!?!? Are you serious and not kidding Isn`t this the same as a refrigerator sales man in arctic Sorry, excuse me still all the scotish jokes in my ears Wolfarossa FORZA FERRARI
Wolfie, would I lie to you?But do remember the reputation us Scots have and don"t expect anyhting cheap!!! Dave
Dave, I was just kidding and for sure its good to see a Ferrari dealer in Scotland. Hope we don`t need his help on our trip But if his store is on our route it would be nice to stop by for a coffee...ääääh sorry tea or whatever the scotish dudes are drinking beside whiskey Wolfarossa FORZA FERRARI
Wolfie, they are in the oposite direction, and you must get things right it is Whisky,no "E" that is Irish whiskey, knew you were joking, us Scots have a good sense of humour. All the best Dave Mc.
Hi Dave, oh I love to learn. Man I`m drinking this stuff since many years but never have had a closer look to the letters...no time Its time to travell over to you and your beautiful Scotland! I`m hungry to see & learn more about it. Serious question...please don`t laugh; sometimes I`m realy serious: About the ferries!!!!!!! Have you (or anbody else) ever had any problems to go with the Ferrari on a FERRY???? I can`t drive in any subterranean garage! My testa is stock original and no lower kit but its impossible. Front spoiler is always scratching or I just run aground..... you know what I`m talking about? I don`t want to hang around on a ferry with my Ferrari for the rest of my life Hope this is not a stupid question? Wolfarossa FORZA FERRARI
Testagang, I have had no problems with my 328 on the Dover-Calais ferry. I have dopne the trip twice and there was no serious incline to worry about. However, I am scared about the underground parking in my new building. Oh well - I will have to check it out in May when we move! The cross-channel ferry should not be a problem for you....I hope! Cheers, MARK
thanks buddy, but is there a serious way to proof it B4 on THIS route we will take (its not Calais/Dover!)? Maybe buy our scotish friends? Wolfarossa FORZA FERRARI
Wolfgang,I have used the Rosyth-Zeebrugge ferry only once and had a porsche boxster,I had no problems with this and there is no serious inclines on the ferry it is a brand new ship and has none of the problems of ferries years ago. Hope this addresses your concerns on this issue. Best regards Dave Mc
Mc Dave Mc, thanks buddy! Maybe and as usual something got lost in my poor translation No problem with the ferry, no problem if its sinking (all risk insurance)... I`m only thinking about the drive in - out of the ferry. The big difference, level, high..mhmm between the ferry and the land. 10cm difference could be a big problem. But if its both one one level - no problem. Don`t know if my question is now understandable enough Oh my god I wish I could speak a better, fluent and understandable English Wolfarossa FORZA FERRARI
