Sounds like jealousy to me. That can be said about every single other celebrity and businessman out there.
I wouldnt be worried too much about Dre. I would not even compare him with Timbaland and Storch. Dre probably has more money than both x2.
Not jealous at all. I really like the guy. But most celebs and businessmen have ongoing employment. Those that don't wind up on E! True Hollywood Stories. But the fact of the matter is his net worth is only $75 million. $20MM of which he sunk into a depreciation assest (boat). He's not in demand anymore, and the people who he produced for will be a distant memory in 10 years. He's getting killed by other producers who are more in demand, such as Timbaland and Swizz Beats. All of the people he has signed on his new label have flopped so far. So unless he finds some new hits, his days of $20MM yatchs are over. As mentioned, Dre probably has more money than Storch could dream of. And I don't see him flashing anything around. He obviously being smart with it and it will continue to even let his grandchildren live well. Storch, he's buys too much crap. I think he'll be fincancially dried up for the most part before long. He'll live "well". But mega mansions with 10 exotic cars and body guards out front and $20MM yatchs out back will not be around forever.
Dr. Dre is an artist AND producer. He has two albums - 'The Chronic' and '2001'. He produced the both of them too. He is currently working on his upcoming album called 'Detox'.
Storch has a networth of more then 100 million now, easily. The boat wasn't 20 million, it was $4-5 mil tops. The boat is called Lady Tiffany which was built in 1994 and went thru a big rennovation in 2004. He also has a Sunseeker Predator called Storchavelli which is 4-5 years old too. Dr.Dre's networth was estimated to be somewhere around $150 million. While he does produce alot of music and has had 2 sucessful albums, most of the stuff he produces is not as mainstream like the stuff Timbaland and Storch produce. The comment about Swizz Beats was ludacris. He isn't in demand at all, which is pretty sad because he is a pretty good producer.
ha, same, Dr.Dre is garbage. Always has been and always will be, in terms of music, production is a different story.
how many albums did "All Eyez on Me" by Pac sell? I think that was the #1 Rap album ever wasn't it? At least it sure is as far as rap 'music' is concerned IMO. Pac was, is, and always will be the best rapper without a semblance of a doubt.
I agree to most of it however Dre has some really bada$$ songs like "Forgot about Dre" and "California Love". Also, Dre is the ONLY one who sounds almost exactly like his recording voice (on a CD) in real life (aka at a concert). It's quite unbelievable. Snoop on the other hand is absolute ****.
The wealthiest people I know (billionaires) act nothing like this little turd. One drives a 99 Jeep Cherokee and a other drives a 2003 S500. The wealthy stay that for a reason, they don't blow it acting like a retard. I agree, it will be very interesting to see where he is in 20 years.
That's your opinion. Lots and lots of producers will disagree with that statement. In hip hop and techno circles, "Amen Brother" is widely regarded to be the best beat ever produced. In fact, there are entire documentaries dedicated to this 5 second beat. It was instrumental in early hip hop, breaks and jungle, and is still sampled very heavily to this day. Scott Storch would be lucky to have any beat of his remembered by anyone in 10 years. I wonder if Storch even knows what "Amen Brother" is. I'll bet he probably does. Here's some history for those who don't know its past...it's pretty fascinating: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5SaFTm2bcac As for personal preference, I feel "Apache" was the best beat to a song ever. It's still sampled to this day - 47 years after it was produced. I've chopped apart and re-assembled the "Apache" beat countless times on productions as I have "Amen Brother". "Apache" just rocks. I don't know what it is about that beat. But..."Amen" is KING of the beats. Always will be. End of story. RMX
That's the down right dumbest thing i've ever heard. Billionares drive anything they like. Living like a bum when having money is by no means "the right thing". To say this person is blowing his money is stupid - you don't know how much they have, have invested, have spent, or how much they still make day to day. Not sure about who you know, but most of the billionares i've seen spend ridiclious amounts of money. Just to name a few. Roman Abramovich, Oleg Deripaska, Paul Allen, Michael Dell, etc...
All Eyez On Me sold 1 Million copies 4 hours after it was released in February 1996. In 1999 it was certified 9x Platinum. Last I heard it had sold 12 Million. IMO, 2pac is the best rapper of all time. No one can even come close to him. Biggie is second but still nowhere near 2pac http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/All_Eyez_on_Me What? Dr. Dre is considered one of the best artist/producers ever. He has released two solo albums in 15 years that have received worldwide recognition as two of the best hip-hop albums ever. Dr. Dre is an extremely talented artist and producer. He announced last night that his third and final album, 'Detox', will be released. There has been hype about the Detox album since he announced it in 2000. Producers like Scott Storch and Timbaland look up to Dre. They are nowhere near his level. FerrariSlave, I don't understand what you mean - you said Dre is garbage but you're still going to buy his album? That is one of the stupidest comments in this thread. You think that if you're billionaire friends buy a few exotic cars that there money is going to dissapear? If I was in Scott's position I would do the same thing he's doing. Have you ever stopped and thought that maybe your billionaire friends aren't car guys? They could have other interests and hobbies that they spend their money on be it property, sports, entrepreneurship, etc. Next time you want to make a comment like that - stop. think. and don't.
I don't dis-credit Dr.Dre I'm just not a real big fan of Gangsta rap. I didn't care for the cronic or the cronic 2001 to be honest. I like Storch because his music is uplifting, motivating, and unique. The middle eastern accents in the music make for an amazing tune.

Timberland is far better than Storch. The song Give it to me with Timberlake, Timberland, and Furtado is about him. Antony
