Sorry to have reignited the scuderia09 vs the world argument. Picked through the last few dozen pages of this thread and had some laughs. The way inflation is looking maybe he'll finally be vindicated and prove everybody wrong with these $350k scuds. It's so surprising to me that even with a marque like Ferrari with such a racing heritage, production numbers seem to be the biggest factor in values. It does make sense that many wouldn't pull the trigger on a Scud when the same money gets you a 458. At 28 y/o with a high tolerance for NVH and ~13 years lusting after a Scud, even I had to ask my self "Should I just get a 458?" and weigh it out. Now I just have to hope I can find a good one that isn't stashed away somewhere.
it’s not about him being vindicated but rather his cruel and belligerent way of demeaning other Fchat users. Here is what one could say - you know the Scuderia is undervalued and should be a great candidate for long term appreciation. After all is was developed in part by Michael Schumacher, sounds great, and has one of the last great single plate clutches. MSRP was $300k plus and would be nice to at least hit that benchmark again someday. but instead DannyBoy usually writes - Scuds WILL soon be $350k! Only 1500 made,,,,I’m right,,,,you’re wrong! So dream on buddy!!!
458 and scud are very different cars. I wouldn’t let price dictate the purchase. Drive both and see what calls to you. I come from a Porsche background and the 458 reminds me a lot of the 991 platform. Sure it’s faster than it’s predecessor and can be daily driven. For me that’s the drawback. I didn’t want a car with a dr jeckle/mr Hyde personally. I want it mr Hyde every time I drove it, which is exactly what the scud is and my 997 Gt3 which was replaced by the scud. set your priorities for the car and buy the car that best aligns with those priorities.
Well said @boostedt0y What’s interesting is how many of us originally were looking at the 458 for a variety of reasons (last NA mid engine, 9k redline, etc) and found it incredibly capable, but didn’t connect enough to it emotionally. Two very different cars that for me would serve different purposes. A quick browse in the comments of the current Scud on BaT shares many of the same stories. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
That right, yes your very wrong so why not be 350k and yes there is 1500 Scud. made world wide not like you say theres 25,000 made , what rock you been hiding under your the one that dreaming, you don't know what your talking about anyways go back to bed, there already one going online at 275k and there 3 days left like to see what that ends up at.
Wow. You just don’t learn do you? Yes, I do know what I am talking about but more importantly your true colors have come out once again. Your rude and condescending attitude is back for 2022. Please do FerrariChat a favor and just go away.
BaT car just sold @ 296k. I assume the highest a scud has sold since they were brand new? What a wild result.
Leather interior doesn’t do it for me in this car. My buddy owns an 08 Rosso Corsa striped Scud with 300 mi. Yes, 300 delivery mi. How much is that worth today?
Are yall thinking these two crazy BaT results are significant enough to set a new market price on all scuds? Or is BaT just a crazy fantasy land that doesn't necessarily translate to the real world?
What happened to the one on eBay that mysteriously disappeared after yesterday's BaT conclusion? Sent from my SM-G991U using Tapatalk
The $259k changed to "Price on request" on their site, not sure what they've updated their ask to. I was hoping to fly out to take a look at it next week, but that went out the window.
