No, I fitted a range of parts that were mostly carbon fibre trim and exterior panels. However, I guarantee that if it has a part number it can be ordered through spare parts. It may take a while; but it has to be available as Ferrari is legally required to supply all parts for 10 years after production stops, either from stock or through sundry suppliers. Looking at the picture posted earlier it would be pretty simple to fit the part. It attaches under the sill kick panel and passenger aluminium floor plate. The spare parts diagram would show the attachments very clearly.
I guess this is why they make chocolate and vanilla, I find the interior of the scuderia to be one of the coolest features of the car. I was blown away the first time I looked inside. Carbon fiber everywhere, the aluminum floor and the stunning seats just made a great race look, it is the world's leading sports car after all. The wheel arch and under door covering do give the car a more finished look but that is a personal preference. As to the driving experience I can't imagine anyone shifting this car under full throttle and not thinking they want to do it over and over forever. It literally bangs into each gear with an unforgettable feeling. No issues with the seats as far as comfort or drivability. They are stunning to look at as mentioned above. Value, who knows, world events certainly affect disposable income. Everyone can make their own decisions there. No one is getting any younger is a cold hard fact. No great revalation either is that as cars age and miles increase they become worth less, so weigh those two facts and make your judgement. The world has always worked that way. Lastly, Scuderia is such perfect name for a car I can't bring myself to refer to them as a scud, again a personal preference.
Other than maybe having cleaned up those interior welds a bit, Ferrari made the Scuderia just about perfect, IMO. Although, knowing that small part of the frame would be seen, I'm surprised Ferrari didn't make that area's welds extra clean and eliminate the surrounding weld splatter (or whatever it's called). I guess it wasn't important to them. When I bought my car Scuderia's were $100K more, which was out of my price range. Even though I really wanted a manual Ferrari, I would have got the Scuderia if I could. Great car.
Yes, My mistake, In the years of production of the scuds, 2008-2009, not thru-out the entire 430 build range. Yes, I also agree with you that there are not as many scuds out there as many people want to believe. For some reason Ferrari does not want to give exact numbers.
The Scuderia seats are great. They are so good, that Ferrari decided to put them in the 599 GTO as standard and the F458 Italia as an option. The Scuderia seats are very strong (carbon fiber construction) and so much lighter than any other seat offered by Ferrari in the F430, 599 GTB or F458. Let's get one of our sponsors to give us a group price on the wheel arch covers for the Scuderia in Alcantara. I'm interested. With just these Alcantara arch covers and the awesome Scuderia floor mats I have seen posted somewhere here in F-chat, the Scuderia will look even better on the interior.
Hello F430GT, do you have a pic of the scuderia floor mats? I may be interested in them. Thanks Greyhair
"Thats All" ???? That is a dubious statement. It is not that simple. Here is another factor why the price drop: When the 458 was introduced, many scud owners (the ones that purchased thier cars in 2008-2009) put them up for sale and or, traded them in creating a surplus. Your statement is also a valid factor as well, but not the only reason of the scud price drop. Compile that with my prevous statements regarding the scud buyers that are turned off due to the interior and other sorts, that buy the 2008 430 road car---------------and maybe some other factors that are not mentioned here is the reason for the price drop. I also believe there will be more buyers now becuase of the price drop such as myself. With that said, yes the price drop will contiune but not for long. Ferrari owners will buy Ferrari. That is why the scuderia was born (and what a great day that was). I am already anticipating the 458 scuderia.
God bless ya That feeling is what prospective buyers for the 2008 430 road car are missing. Again, test drive the scud and you will become a scud buyer, and will over look that raw interior. I myself love the raw look, it completes that car.
This topic has dragged on and is becoming very misleading imo. Fact is Fact last year $225 got you a very nice 09 Scud, this year a very nice 09 scud is going for $200. That is pretty normal depreciation for a car of this level, hardly what I would call collapsing/falling out. The examples people are posting are high 9000 to 10000 mile examples (which everyone complains about people not driving fcars 5000k a season for most when we only get half seasons is a lot of miles) without strips and 08 models lacking carbon and odd colors, is kind of pointless to be labeling these cars as the going price. Again fact is fact all Fcars for the most part depreciate $15k to $30k per year weather it is a scud, a 430 spider, a 458 whatever. Who cares if you are seriously worried about depreciation buy a Toyota Camry or Honda Civic. Not to be negative nancy but this topic is getting off track and turning more into a dreamers wish list. For all the guys on the sideline talk is cheap action is louder than words, if the car has collapsed so much in price what you guys waiting for start buying them up and enjoy life. As for the poster complaining about the shifts in the scud, I can't stop smiling when I get the kick in the pants feeling, maybe you should read some of the real owners F430gt as an example and read how he praises how reliable the car has been. If your worried about the hard shifts buy a 458 and enjoy the smooth shifts but be warned read the 458 section a bunch of 458 having tranny problems, while I don't hear about those problems in the 430 scud.
I almost forgot to add my pointless information to help with this thread, if my aunt had nuts she would be my uncle. In otherwords my aunt is my aunt and I can't change it , just like a nice 09 scud will run 200k regardless if you wish your aunt had nuts and becomes your uncle, you just have to accept fact sometimes and learn to deal with it. Cheers enjoy the work week.
I will give it try, I was told that in 2009 FNA ran a series sort of like the challange series but for the scuderias. It did not catch on and was only ran about a 1/2 year. Sort of like a pro-Am. I personally do not recall this but maybe some other chatter may have more info regarding this statement. Greyhair
Man, someone is giving you terrible information! First more Scuderia built than normal 430's and now this. Let me guess, info came from a dealer with a severe lack of knowledge?
Important, please don't mix up the Challenge series with Scuds. If you can edit your post you should...don't leave folks thinking that 50% of the Scuds were raced!
Did someone complain about the shifts in the Scuderia? I find the shifts under full throttle to be fantastic and a great thrill as stated in an earlier post.
Yes one of the key questions here is do you want the 60 MS kick in the back of the SCUD box or a seamless 458 DSG change, not forgetting in the 458 you are effectively carrying around the weight penalty of 2 gearboxes to make that happen ....
Please read my post over again. I made it clear to what I was told by the Ferrari dealer. No disrespect intended thanks
Thats what I thought. I do not recall a scuderia type series that only lasted 6 months? However, this dealer swears by it. Thanks for your input.
