It seems that the "price as tested" in the British mags have the price for the Scuderia at over 170,000BP (That's over $340,00USD). Anyone hear what the expected US price with be before the infamous upcharge for "market availability"?.

What's the price of a similarly priced 430 in the UK now compared to US? That might give a ball park as prices have not been set here yet.

I don't think you can depend on a straight conversion from pounds to dollars to calculate the price. While we will all have to wait and see, the number I have heard from a couple of different dealers is around $250,000 before options. Who knows?

I'm hearing 250k for a "base" car..............add in all the desirable options and car is pushing 300k plus. "Market" price upwards of 400k and beyond is not out of the realm of possibility.

In the UK the standard 430 I believe is about $130 BP base price. Remember you cannot equate the European prices due to VAT and the change in currency. I still think the 430S will be about $240-$250K MSRP. What is will go for is anybody's guess.

Not sure on US prices but if the differential between standard 430 and 430S is same as UK, then price a 430 with options of F1 and ceramic brakes, then add $50/60,000.

I'll bet you'll be able to add another $30K in the CF add-ons that they'll offer.(it's debatable whether people will go for it although it will really make the car. That extra money will probably be lost at resale) My guess is an optioned out 430S will be just shy of $300K US. Plus tax and license = ouch! Add another $100 - 150K for market price. Seeing as the 430 successor will be more expensive, I think F are testing the waters here on price to see if anyone blinks. $250K+ will be the price of the successor ;)

    Ok : converted pre-tax prices in the UK are USD 230 000 for a standard F1 430 & USD 300 000 for a Scud

seeing as how people are paying over 300k for 430 spiders, i doubt ferrari buyers will blink at an msrp of over 250k.........

Don't be so sure, it caught up with Ferrari in the early 90's although you couldn't compare the product than with what is out now.

the same base model 430's are currently 130,000 GBP = approx - $260,000. US prices are less. Do you really think they will get more than a specially optioned 612....won't happen. I would expect US pricing to be $260,000 MSRP; upwards of $285,000 fully optioned not including taxes, warranty and other costs. The customer purchasing this car will not be a flipper and will have purchased many F-cars before. Ferrari will ensure control of these cars [for a period of time] via leasing or First Right of Refusal.

If an owner elects to sell to another for a big mark-up it likely would be the last car purchased directly from dealer.

Luca di Montezemolo called on all European leaders to address the US$ vs Euro exchange rate and support the falling dollar ( = it prevents Ferrari from profiting more on US sales) .

I’m thinking that the car will end up at just under 450K with all options, tax, and the at least 100K over sticker mark up. If it ends up less I will be shocked.
This car will be the car to have. I want one but I don’t want one for 599 money. I’m patient and VERY happy with my 430 Coupe. Maybe if I was able to exploit
the handling limits of my current 430 to the edge I would be worthy of the Scuderia, but I have a ways to go. In a couple years I'll have many more track days
under my belt. By then the 430 successor will be available and I'll make a choice.

430 Scuderia price in Germany is 206300 EUR including 19% VAT. MSRP in the US seems to be about $240-250k. Of course premiums for the Scuderia will be at a very high level and it will be hard to expect premiums to fall down in next couple of years, because there will be not so many cars built ( about 1200 units), but demand is very high. I expect that in Germany premiums for early cars will be about 80000 EUR netto for physically available car. And one my friend from US told me that his dealer, from whom he purchased F430 in 2005, told him that he CAN JUST TO GET ON THE LIST for Scuderia only for $100k over MSRP. So I suppose Scuderia market will be hot next year.

I fully expect that FNA will be porking the consumer with record gouging on the Scud............ I could, but as a matter of principle I wont.
