We now have a budget and Sponsors Brochure. It looks like we would run a number of races. I remain hopeful but add that it's a serious amount of money.
It sounds like quite an investment to use for just 1 race, so I'm glad there are plans for more. Any others in particular?
...Speaking of Bradley's work (RIP CirkitVision), I loved being able to be there for the filming of Ford Ferrari Wars... I won't forget that T70 Jim! Part 1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JWt0pdiCpmE Part 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mtm77UltYjU&feature=related _J
I know it was filmed start to finish, I was there, but I can't find the thrid part online. I think the parent web-site may have died before anything was really finished with the production of the video. It proves Jim knows what he talks about. Gives you a great history. _J
Thanks man, yeah that kinda stuff has always interested me quite a bit and the first two parts were awesome! Thanks and if the 3rd part does pop up somewhere please be sure to let us know. Cheers.
When I showed Meg these figures: Yahoo 616,000 results for FERRARI 288 gto 2,740,000 results for FERRARI f40 2,110,000 results for FERRARI f50 13,700,000 results for FERRARI ENZO 50,700,000 results for FERRARI P 4/5 She responded: Great. But less great, I just Googled "world peace" and got a mere 5,460,000!
Google "ferrari p4/5" = 5,770,000 "ferrari enzo" = 1,350,000 "ferrari f40" = 1,260,000 "ferrari f50" = 362,000 "ferrari 288" = 75,300 Exactly. We're studing the dollar value of P 4/5 media exposure to show a potential sponsor what P 4/5 Competizione could do for them.
Jim, hate to burst your bubble, if you are trying to visualise the presence of the P4/5 on the internet compared to the other super Ferrari's it's better to use search volume instead of the amount of pages indexed. This is what Google has to say. The last graph is to calm your wife! As you can see the Enzo is still the king of the internet. Btw, my yahoo.com shows 14,4mln. search results for Ferrari Enzo and 1,9mln. for Ferrari p4/5. Google has 72% market share in the U.S. so you need add some for the exact number for that market. In the US the numbers Bill and I posted are exactly what Yahoo and Google state and are culminate web pages. The Google numbers searched by Bill in quotes are probably more accurate than the Yahoo ones. Look at your data for 2006 when P 4/5 was unveiled. That 15+MM # compares to what number on the Enzo upon the Enzo's release? (Point A on Enzo chart) People who search is an interesting number but total number of web mentions is IMO more important to a potential sponsor. Web mentions equals exposure equals dollar equivalent amount of advertising exposure. Coca Cola is much more interested in how many times their product is mentioned than how many times people search the net for information on Coke. Anyway the only way to do this properly is by investigating the total media exposure, Print, TV, Magazine, and net articles/mentions and put a dollar amount on that value. A media evaluator is in the process of doing exactly that and when we have that data I'll let you know what we found. As for World Peace, sadly, people are much more likely to search for it than to find web pages about it on the net.
best of luck with this Jim. and yes, world peace, haven't we all been searching for it since the dawn of societies?
