I'm reminded of the Flintstones cartoon featuring a tablet newspaper with the Headline; Trouble In The Mideast
"battista farina" = 23,900 "jim glickenhaus" = 27,900 "james glickenhaus" = 32,000 "jimmy glickenhaus" = 8
Absolutely agree that from a sponsor stand point the number of times it mentioned is more important. The reason your numbers from "Ferrari p 4/5" are so high is because they are a done with a broad match search. Look on yahoo from page 12-13 and on you'll only find one sometimes two pages about the P4/5 out of the 10 results shown on each page. The rest just has just the number 4, 5 and Ferrari mentioned. Therefore to measure number of pages indexed use exact match search. Results for Google.com, U.S. are: Nr. 1 "Ferrari Enzo" 1,330,000 Nr. 2 "Ferrari F40" 543,000 + "Ferrari F 40" 32,700 = 575,700 Nr. 3 "Ferrari p4/5" 535,000 + "Ferrari p 4/5" 33,900 = 568,900 Nr. 4 "Ferrari F50" 362,000 + "Ferrari F 50" 45,000 = 407,000 Nr. 5 "Ferrari 288" 75,800 All in all exceptional presence for the P4/5, only JUST beaten by the F40, which has an advantage in time of more then a decade.

"It is disconcerting to find that in such a cosmic year the Earth does not condense out of interstellar matter until early September, dinosaurs emerge on Christmas Eve; flowers arise on December 28th; and men and women originate at 10:30 P.M on New Year's Eve. All of recorded history occupies the last ten seconds of December 31; and the time from the waning of the Middle Ages to the present occupies little more than one second." "The Dragons of Eden"
Glow in the dark is an AWESOME idea for a 24hr race! I don't think I have seen any other cars like that before. I am excited to see what comes of this. I know you will give more details as they become available.
What is the idea of doing market research for this car if I may ask without reading the entire thread to catch up?
P 4/5 has generated a fair amount of Media coverage and there is a dollar amount of equivalency of value of that media coverage. Potential Sponsors are interested in what that amount is to better understand what the dollar equivalency of the media coverage of P 4/5 Competizone might possibly be.
Jim ~ I just watched the video referenced a couple pages back - fantastic! Carol ***** I read this just a bit ago and you came to mind!!! 2010 is a year of transition, 2011 is the important year - you by chance a part of this from Trottet Racing (currently running a 430 in International Open WP)??? Yesterday we made you per T of a double project the next year for Trottet Racing. If the track International Open WP is privileged with F430 Ferrari, the second program could be an arrival in LMP1. François Trotte says some to us a little more on the subject: In addition to program GT2, the privileged option is clearly the LMP1. We make all our possible to make roll Lola in 2010. Nothing is acquired as much as the car is not on the track. It is necessary to badly join together not parameters to arrive there. As motorization: It is not decided but the choice should be done between Aston Martin and Judd. As regards pilot, nothing is made: From this point of view there also, nothing is finalized and one of the options could be Marcel Fässler even if it is only the conditional one taking into account its program. The year 2010 will be one year of training for the Swiss team in Mans Series: We will have to make our ranges and to progress gradually. 2011 could be a new stage continues the Director of the team. If Ferrari or another mark of group FIAT develops a prototype, we hope well to be part, knowing that I am in love with the Italian mark. All the year, we work in close cooperation with the TEAM Zenith, which is one of the largest dealers European of the Italian mark. Of course, the objective will be medium-term the 24 Hours of Mans: If one day we are likely to be selected in Mans, we will answer present because for me, the Endurance and more mainly the traditional mancelle one passes by the prototype.
I think a lot of people would Love to see more Ferrari Sportscar Racing and a new Ferrari Prototype would be wonderful but I'm not sure a Petrol Prototype would have a chance. P 4/5 obviously isn't a Ferrari effort but I'm very encouraged by the interest that Race Organisers have in seeing P 4/5 Competizione race.
Since this is a one-off car I would assume there would be problems homologating this for any racing series existing
Nope. There is an experimental class we can enter at the 24 Hours of Nurburgring. We're also speaking to other venues who have expressed interest in having P 4/5 Competizione race. Finding a place to race isn't an issue. We're speaking to several potential sponsors and I remain hopefull.
Well thats good news indeed Jim and I am sure that with the small entry lists at this years races that another entry would be welcomed. Would you be handling some of the driving duties or have all full pro driver lineup? I guess this also depends on the organization and venue correct?
My Driving in Anger Days are behind me. At the Ring you need experts. That track takes a long time to learn.
What's that story of yours; making some record time through New England in a Ferrari so many years ago? NART Spider? Boston to New York City? _J
