Thanks We were sitting at the Mercedes tribune with straight view to the start/finish line. We went there already 2h before the end of the race and got some of the last seats. It was a gread feeling when P4/5C arrived there, can't really describe it. I went to the paddock on friday night to see Jim, but he already left the scene. We had a nice talk with one of the mechanics for more then half an hour. All the guys there were really great and tried to answer all our questions even though we all didn't speak perfect english. On saturday before the race I tried it again and was lucky Besides talking to Jim, one of the best moments of the weekend was when I first saw P4/5C at the Mühlenbachschleife . I just enjoyed watching and listening to her, no time to take pics Martin
There she goes!! [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gQlKeu1Lufs[/ame] I was filming when I first saw the car IRL. Filmed with phone.
Jim, Absolutely one of the greatest automotive adventures ever. Thank you so much for sharing. It is so impressive what you and your team accomplished. Finishing this race in the first attempt is a feat on it's own. I look forward to the future of the story.
After the long trek home I have a lot of my coverage of P4/5C at the 'Ring online -- I had a fantastic opportunity to document her entry in the 24h up close. Hats off to the pilots and crew that made it happen. Forza Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus! I've attached some of my favorites, and there are a lot more in the flickr gallery Jalopnik has also paired some words... http://jalopnik.com/5814789/the-sun-rises-over-the-nurburgring/ http://jalopnik.com/5815561/see-the-amazing-automobiles-of-the-24-hours-of-nurburgring Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

In a thousand years, I couldn't think of a better way to experience the 'Ring. On all my work trips I take some kind of toy cam or odd camera to play with. The 'Ring was no exception -- I give you an f-chat world exclusive...the world's only pinhole photos of P4/5C Also one from a farm next to the ring. Jim, It has been a pleasure and an honour to follow your journey. I may have only been a lurker, following your progress online, but your updates have kept those of us who couldn't be there involved from day one. Your vision, and your drive to make that vision a reality, is an inspiration to all ... no matter what those visions may be. Thank you for keeping us involved and for your unique insight into a world that few will experience, and congratulations on your hard-fought and well-earned end to this first chapter of P4/5 Competizione. I hope that this is only first of many, and that we are lucky enough to included then as well. Hopefully one day we can meet and I get a chance to ask you some of the many questions I have, and see the car in person, but until then I will continue to see what is on the horizon for you and P4/5 Competizione. Well done my friend ... well done.
