Yes I noticed the P in front of the zeros, the number tag is much wider too . is the tag similar to the other Prototype tags? I spoke with the seller, seems that for a while it had the Jota engine cover but never any engine upgrade - very nice color!
These tags were often custom-made, with e.g. the name of the first owner on it, like this one. It's weird that this car is indicated as being 005/150, because it is not. From what I've seen, prototypes do either not have a tag at all, or are referred to as 'P' and then the number ...
The SE30 is full of the production numbers stamped in many different places on the vehicle, the door hinges, the engine bay cover, number on painter's tape under the rugs, etc. Would be curious to see what is stamped there.
only prototype of the SE30 is LA12998 car 0/150 (of the 151 cars made) in 30 Purple. I think you will find the blue car is RLA12005 - 5th production car.
jesus. that yellow jota needs a bigger exhaust. hope the driver checks to ensure no small children are hiding in there prior to a drive! R
One other jellow jota, seen at 50th at Forte dei Marmi. Do you know something about this car? Where is it from? Image Unavailable, Please Login
This 30SE appeared some years ago in Evo italian magazine and the car was owned by an Italian gentleman from Genova which also had a f40 and a countach.... The car have been already at bonhams auction Monaco 2009 Bonhams Monaco 2009.... From the Photos at coys the Owner looks like the same...and he is often spotted in monaco!
So what's the deal with this number tag since it has the "P" added? And since tag itself is different/longer. Is tag not original? Or were the first early tags just different from the later ones?
The P cars are the SE30 Jota Prototypes built for racing purposes, they are all in Japan, I think there are 3 of them. http://www.lambocars.com/diablo/diablo_se_corsa_and_jota_p-series.html
I have seen larger tags on the SE30 cars when the owner's name was engraved underneath the last three numbers of the chassis number/150.

guys, please relax 100% not China and from the provenance, paper material and quality i can garantee you it is original factory material and not a copy first, material: the paper inside is old great quality paper, thick and "yellowish" inside the SE30 book, it even has plastic to protect the paper inside not open on the "other market" versions. the rigid cover is again great quality with all the "right parts" second: comparison with other factory part-worckshop books: a very good friend of mine is a lambo official service shop since many years. i looked at his books and mine:they are the same books as the ones he has in the shop..same covers, paper, etc third: number and variant of sellers books: he had MANY of these... even had diablo wiring scheme books! cool items but who can buy them? chinese could not sell enough of them to make them even remotely close to be profitable...well probably it would be hard so sell 10 wiring schemes for diablos how many do you think you can sell of them? simply not worth the effort so the last question: how to explain the mistake on the book rigid cover? i think simply a mistake on the cover of this edition, please remember for some of the factory manuals there is more than one edition i think factory still had some of these SE30 books layng around and they made new covers at a later time to sell them to dealers so this is likely a second edition (if you look at the SE30 spare parts catalog and if you are familiar with recent factory dealer books-manuals, you will notice it has the same colors - fonts - badge ...etc of the gallardo-murcielago... worckshop-part manuals) last: provenance usually i am private from who i buy parts from but it comes directly from a former lamborghini dealership (out of business today) got some books from them and this is an original factory book with a mistake on its cover... some of the other books have blue covers and different fonts ( i think the blue ones are older covers, black ones more recent- see pics) take a look at others, if you want i have more ... and finally: it is lamborghini we are talking, guys! anyone familiar with lamborghini factory know there were mistakes on lambo books, manuals, etc.. since the very beginning... LOL do not worry: i can garantee Chinese are not making copies of all factory books today Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
