I love my new 328 but my back gets sweaty even in moderate weather. It’s not because of the motor so much as the leather just doesn’t seem very breathable, combined with the fact that you lay back at such an angle. Anyone have any recommendations for covers? I already have the red Ferrari covers for storage I’m looking for covers to actually sit on when driving. Thanks!

I do use those knock-off red Ferrari covers for driving to protect the driver seat. I had mom sew a piece of elastic at the joint of the cover's seat and upright part, run the elastic through the seat and under it. I have Velcro on the elastic end and a piece of elastic and opposite Velcro sewn at the front to velcro each end so that the seat cover doesn't slide as much. I've been driving it that way for about 4 years. I also dont have to worry about getting leatherique on my clothes every year when I treat the seats.

I guess the advantage there is that they’re thin. Anyone use the sheep covers? Are they hot?

I use sheep covers in my black '87 328 GTS with cream-colored seats. I do not find them hot. However, in the summertime I drive mostly in the mornings before the insects come out. I use them because the cream-colored seats get dirty so easily and wear so it's mostly for seat protection. I am on my second pair in 35 years.

I just purchased a used tan canvas seat cover on ebay. Awaiting it arrival so that i can see if its the quality im looking for in fit and material. If it is I had thoughts of make replicas to offer for sale to 308/328 owners. I saw a set in a car recently and I’ve been searching but it not being made anymore. I have a set of sheep skin covers that move from car to car (whichever is running). They are not hot, easy to wash, dog friendly, and go well with the 8 track.

The previous owner of my car (hi Ed!) saw this post and reached out. I just bought these seat covers from him that he used when he had the car, and should have them in a couple days. I’ll let update how they are. Not sure where he got them but I can inquire. Or maybe he’ll post here.

I bought mine thinking it could be used as the start of a pattern to make nicer cover from better canvas fabric.

I've seen the pair above in another car and the Owner said that he bought them from Covercraft long ago. They do not have them on their website anymore.

I have had that exact set my 308 for 21 years.

I have a new unused backup set when they finally wear out.

I have those original canvas covers too.
They came in two colours, tan and black with contrast piping.
I love them and unlike the red satin ones you can not notice them from outside the car.
I always felt I was a mechanic driving a customers car when I used the red ones. They stood out like dogs b@lls. :)

Just be careful of sheepskin seat covers as some can damage the leather underneath when the actual sheepskin rubs against the leather with your body movement.

Good sheepskin covers have a lining so the sheepskin does not contact the seats.

Bad news for me. The seat cover I bought hoping I use as a pattern appears to have been washed and it shrunk..... It does not fit the seat. Ebay ad never mentioned it might be small or was washed.

Still contemplating taking it apart at the seams and using it for a pattern. I'll have to lengthen the both the upright and seat portions to offset the shrinkage that occurred.

Wife thinks I'm nuts. Wished they had dry cleaned it.

Had them for over 10 years and haven't washed them yet.
Never needed to as they never really get dirty, mainly just me sitting on them with clean clothes and no food.
I think if I was to dry clean or wash the black Ferrari script would fade.

I have a set of these. Came with my car and I used them for probably 4 years then took them off. Never seen another pair except recently on BAT with a car for sale.

They are made of cotton I believe.
