2008 612 and the passenger side seat heater will show that it is on sometimes briefly even though it is not. Any clue which switch or sensor can be causing a false reading?

I have no idea but I am very glad you posted this, because my 2011 does the exact same thing. Will be curious to see if someone has the answer.

My 2008 OTO does it too.
    I do not know why?

Yup, A lot of Ferrari seat heaters do that. Maserati too, just part of the mystique of the brands. Cycle the switch when you see it on or pay thousands to have someone chase it and find nothing.

Is this something that sprayed contact grease would solve? Seems to me it is a switch issue

Is the light on the switch defective, it is the switch working but the heater is not?

The seat does heat up, takes a bit but it does warm.

It has been this way since the cars were new. Ferrari didn't have a good answer, we changed some switches and it still did it. Probably software related and not worth the effort to find a fix. Now they are out of warranty and it is really not worth the money to try and find it. Just cycle the switch and go drive it. I have had a couple customers ask about it, but in the end, they too just cycle the switch and go on.
