From Crash.net Having already seen his championship hopes officially come to an end with a tenth place finish in the first race of the British Formula Three International Series weekend at Mugello, Bruno Senna secured his fifth victory of the season in the second encounter. With rain pouring around the picturesque Italian circuit, Senna utilised his wet weather reputation to storm out into the lead from the first corner and coast home a clear seven second winner. He led home his sparring partner for second in the championship Oliver Jarvis, the Carlin driver having started on pole but failing to get away as well, as his Brazilian rival jumped him at the start. Indeed, it was a rather unsatisfying second place for Jarvis, having started from pole position in both races, only to retire in the first and fail to get on terms with a rampant Senna in the second. Still, he has kept his slim championship hopes alive by beating Mike Conway across the line, although the Double R driver is now on the cusp on the title having completed the podium Carlin and Hitech filled out places four to seven, with Maro Engel leading James Jakes, while race one winner Christian Bakkerud claimed sixth ahead of Salvador Duran. Surprise podium sitter Alberto Valerio was eighth, holding off Stephen Jelley, while Stuart Hall rounded out the top ten. Starting from the highest position of any National class runner this season, Cristiano Morgado managed to convert his pole position into a second season victory, crossing the line in 11th place overall. Rodolofo Gonzalez was second, 13th place overall. Looks like Bruno has inherited some skills from his late uncle..................................
He doesn't really stand a chance in the championship unless something happens to Mike Conway who has 269 points at this time. Senna would have to get 21 points for the remaining four races and Conway would have to dnf all remaining ones. Not likely. Carol
Absolutely correct Impy - he's still playing in the very minor league in racing. As I recall, he's hoping for a ride in A1GP - still several steps down from F1. I think he's using the name to achieve status. Carol
Yeah, we are aware of that, but it was slightly uncalled for, I have to agree. In today's state of affairs in F1, we need something to look forward to, because what we have to day isn't too awfully good. That I think we all agree on.
You're doing that retarded thing again. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?p=135758658#post135758658 http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?p=135756930#post135756930 http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?p=135754251#post135754251 http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?p=134658841#post134658841
Some people just don't get it I guess. By the way Bruno Senna isn't dead and that's who this thread is about. Maybe you should read next time.....
That would be a useless post even if we were talking about the late great Ayrton Senna, but considering that we arn't the stupidity of that post increases tenfold.
Back on subject, easy on Mr. Parker there. It would be great for Bruno to get a seat in F2 rather than A1GP and see where it goes from there.
I am sorry if this sounds indifferent and cold. If I were Bruno, I would not bank on the Senna name at all!
Man....I try my hardest to refrain from posting negative remarks to your posts but some of your posts are so stupid ! Whose name should he bank on ? Should JV not bank on his dad's name? What about Damon Hill? If not the Senna name, whose ? Maybe yours? No then he'd be flipping burgers at Mc D land and wasting his time posting stupid comments on some insignificant Ferrari forum during the middle of the day.
Jon, the ignore function works wonder, the only unfortunate part is when someone responds to this Goofball his posts appears in the Posters response.
Let's see if Impy feels the same if Mick Schumacher ever decides to use his dad's name to help himself career wise.
We need racers in F1 who get to F1 based on merit! I am sick of pay drivers and drivers who have a catchy names with memories attached!
A little knowledge and respect of the history of Formula 1 would go a long way for several people on this board. There have been many great drivers before Michael Schumacher and there will be many more great ones after he retires this year, and they all may not drive for Ferrari, does that make them any less talented? As a Ferrari fan since 1974 when Lauda won his first race in the Dutch GP and as a passionate owner, it is disappointing to read the views of some on this board. Michael and Ferrari are great, but the constant bleating of some is getting old, guess it is time to use the ignore function. Impy - Ding Fries are Done.... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yes, I agree. There were great racers before Michael and there will be great racers after Michael. However, Bruno Senna is not a great F1 racer yet! Using his uncle's name should NOT be his ticket to F1! My opinions of Senna are besides the fact... my point is that Bruno is not F1 material yet. Brunoshould not be given a ticket to F1 just because he has a last name that brings back memories for some clever marketing!
