Anyone know whether we can use a converter to convert the 13amp wall plug of the cable to use in today EV charger stations ? I don't have a 13amp outlet in my parking lot, so I want to charge the car when I park in those public car public with EV stations, but most of the EV stations now is for medium/fast charger which not working with 13amp plug... If its like any other phev it should plug into any regular street charger using the charger's cable & plug - for example the Tesla Red any car or the Porsche branded chargers - paying for it is another matter which varies by territory
As far as I recall, the plug in the SF90 is a regular Type 2 plug. I would be surprised if any 1 or 3 phase charge lead wouldn't work on normal public chargers. Most public chargers are Type 2 fast chargers, and they charge anything from 2.8 kw to 43 kw. I’ve used a number of different chargers with no issue. We have an old type 2 16 amp and a BMW 7.2 kw charger I used for the i8! Both work perfectly.
I plug mine into regular street chargers all the time. The connect is the usa standard connector for america
