It's a loss for the Olympics. She would have brought in a lot more viewers and the Olympics is only about marketing and advertising. Having marijuana on the list as a performance enhancing drug is a joke.
Alcohol is a drug and the first Olympian stripped of their medal for substance use was in 1968 because of drinking beer. Completely ridiculous. Nicotine and caffeine are drugs, but are ok.

I put myself in the competitors shoes. How would you feel knowing you had prepared for the Olympics for years. It was your dream to compete in the Olympics. All the sacrifices you and your family had to make. Now along comes a man,that “identifies” as a woman,and beats all the women. Wouldn’t you be upset? I agree with this, fault is 50/50. The only extenuating circumstance is she learned of her mother's death when a reporter asked her about it at a media appearance. Not cool.
Its legal in Oregon which is where she is from. IMO the Olympic committee needs to show how pot enhances running or withdraw its punishment of a legal substance. I don't believe they can show pot makes a runner go faster. If that's the case what about Gatoraid or Coca Cola. Isn't caffeine a drug? Or what about nicotine?
