Ages ago I redesigned the top mount point to adapt aftermarket coil-overs to my mondial. Recently a 328 owner wanted to upgrade to coil-overs but like the Mondials it's shares the same odd vibrablock top mount. I ended up designing a simple bracket that allows the use of an eyelet top as found on the bulk majority of coil-overs. A std. mcpherson strut does not work btw with what Ferrari did for the top mount.

Here's a quick pic of the difference.

If anyone is interested in going this route for coil-overs let me know. As I posted in the 308 section I don't have a cost per unit as this wasn't done as a bulk run job but on request. Never know what some maybe looking for so I figured I let the group know of an option.

    Brackets are 316 stainless.

I would be interested. Broke a shock some time ago, and the top mount does limit choice and adds to the price if you don't have the Mondial coil over.

I'd definitely be interested. I'd been looking for a alternative and this is the best that I've seen.

So reading Nicks site it reads
"FRONT UPPER INNER A ARM MUST BE MODIFIED LIKE IN PHOTO BELOW FOR FRONT SPRING & SHOCK INSTALLATION"
Will your mount require modding the control arm and with the mount you make what length will the front and rear coilover assemblies be for the QV Mondi ...ie what length eye to eye on the coilover for F&R

The 308 with std eyebolt runs into clearance issues with the adjustment knob, the mondial has different clearances. The lower rear control arm may have clearance problems with the adjustment knob but I believe there is a smaller knob so it may not be an issue.

i'd have to check the Mondial lengths again, not sure off the top of my head.

On mine I used the NFF coil-overs but that was 9yrs ago and I didn't utilize this type of arrangement.

If we have length from eye to eye for fronts and rears we can shop around and make this a really good mod for the earlier models but the cost of NFF coilovers will make it an expensive mod

Would love to know the lengths
