Hi every one. I am looking for a Lamborghini silouette that is in running condition. I a well aware that there is a small pool of cars. any help in helping locate one. would be greatly appreciated. I can be reached [email protected] Thanks Olivier
How many silhouette came with a rear wing are there. By all account there are very few. Was that an option that could be purchased after? Is there a build sheet that from factory that showed silhouette / wing. The wing sure looks like it came off the countach factory line. Are there any factory differences among all silhouette that are factory setup. Where they all build exactly the same I would love to see one in the USA. To get a feel of the size and dimension of the car.
There's no factory wing for the Silhouette, only some Jalpa was delivered with a wing. The wing for the Jalpa look like the one of the late Countach but with a different lengh.
There are several differences over the production run. Notable are early/late bumper, additional engine lid vents, Euro/US bodies, but there are other minor differences, and combinations that can be used to identify particular cars.
Guys, Iceblue is seriously looking to buy one. If any you have any connection to one, especially in the US, contact him. I know one or two of you have helped.
Ice blue is not seriously looking for since he cancelled his interest in the car I forward him. This one is for sale in Europe, NO timewaster please. The photocredit I already forward to some people are copyrighted and cannot be published on Internet, an advice is better than nothing... Serious buyers can contact me by PM only. Olivier, what do you think about the car? Non original black, non original wing, taillights and interior.....for that price? Maybe I am out of the loop but that is a shocking amount of money for a very non original car......but then again, go find one at less than 51 in existence.
as you mentionned... go find one available... there are so many Miura or Countach sold these days for top price without original paintscheme, nobody complains... and they are both mass production compared to Silhouette !
One of these days investors might wake up to the rarity and collectability of the Silhouette! This was the car that had P7s while the LP400 was still on 70 profile XWXs....
Unless you are building a serious Lamborghini collection, it is pointless to try and obtain a nice Silhouette. As always, for a few more Pesos, you can pick up an entry level Countach.
What nonsense. Many have no desire whatsoever to own a Countach. Money is not the issue - just try and find a nice Silhouette for sale!
If you like the looks, a Jalpa is a lot less money. Buy a Jalpa and another car for less money than the S.
As you wrote, there is no reason why a limited production car like the Silhouette cannot raise its value while for the last 7 months Jarama, Espada did... and what about Miura, 400 Gt 2+2, Islero and Countach that have at minimum been multiplied by 2 within a year !
A black colour (Nero Tenebre) was available on the Silhouette but none of the 54 Silhouette was ordered in that colour. Nevertheless black looks good on a Silhouette! The car offered in Europe was at the 25th anniversary (in 1988) with silver exterior (original colour), original tail lights and without spoiler (the only disturbing feature was an S badge). At the 30th anniversary (in 1993) it was still silver but now with spoiler and Jalpa rear lights. Difficult to understand why they repainted it black and kept the non original items after restoration. If they kept the original livery it was already sold!
Quite baffling I agree. This one is from the run of 10 US bodies. It originally had X1/9 style repeaters, but now they are filled in. For sure this is not a restoration in the true sense of the word!
I have no affiliation, but the Silhouette owners on this board should hurry up => SET OF 4 Yokohama Tires 2 285 40Z R15 2 195 50 R15 Lamborghini Porsche | eBay
Yes, try to find one !!! I inspected it personnaly. Perfect restoration, better than most Vintage Lambo on the market, it will be finished within 2 months. Metallic black color from the original fatory stamp (even if none of 52 Silhouette was black) with black & white strip full leather ! One trader gave me already a firm offer if I don't succeed to sell it straight, hurry up because it won't stay at its actual current price for the end of the year, it will be raised at the same Jarama current price market ! PM me if you are serious buyer ! Don't miss this Silhouette, there is none available actually !!!
Any chance to get info / history / VIN of this car, even when not being a serious buyer ? Hope it will end into good hands loving Lamborghini and rarity, and not into investors / someone will to get this car and expectiing it to get value.
